They seemed to enjoy the atmosphere that day, Emily lay down on the sand while closing her eyes.
"Lily," Georgie said, but he didn't hear Emily answer, he turned to Emily and saw she had her eyes closed.
"Lily, are you sleeping?" Georgie said.
"No, why?" Emily opened her eyes slightly and saw Georgie staring at her.
"I thought you were sleeping, you didn't answer me," Georgie said.
"You just called me, you didn't ask anything, Gigi," Emily said and closed her eyes again.
"Does lying down feel so good?" Georgie said.
"Yeah, just try it," Emily said and Georgie lay down beside her.
"Lily, you know what? This is the first time for me to go to a place with my friend, I don't have any friends and you are my first friend, are you doing it because you feel sorry for me?" Georgie said.
"What? To be honest, I don't have any friends either, even though I study at school and meet lots of people but I can't get along with them, I'm just busy with myself," Emily said.
"Then why do you want to be friends with me?" Georgie said and Emily opened her eyes, she turned to her side to see Georgie who had looked at her first.
"Because you are the same as me, no friends, and lonely," Emily said.
"So are we going to be friends forever?" Georgie said.
"Of course, why not?" Emily said.
"You promise?" Georgie said and gave Emily his little finger.
"Yes I promise," Emily said.
The pinky promise made them closer, and since then, there are no secrets between Georgie and Emily. They often spend time together and tell a lot of things, getting to know each other deeper.
