Marie's request turned out to be simple. As she wasn't sure of really going out to avoid getting lost, she offered to clean and cook by herself.
She wasn't asking the housekeeper to be dismissed instead, she wanted her to stay away for that two days so she would in return have something to keep her hands and her body busy.
This request was not a problem for Elena to achieve. Already, she was aware that keeping her mother at her place without letting her move around like she was used to wasn't doing something good for her.
"Sure. I will call and speak to her," Elena assured her even though she was planning on how to convince her to start a business in the city instead of going back to their hometown where her envious sister-in-law would easily drop by to disturb her peace.
