Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Intruders

"This skeleton is certainly worthy of admiration" I thought in amazement.

It stood tall and proud as it stared at Rhea. It's hands gripping the handle of it's sword tightly in preparation for another attack.

"Enough" I spoke firmly, causing both of them to freeze for a second.

Both of them got on their knees and bowed their heads in obedience to my command.

"You, come here" I demanded, pointing at the skeleton.

The skeleton immediately rose from it's position and walked towards me, it's red eyes burning with passion. It knelt in front of me and lowered it's head, placing both of it's hands on the ground, displaying it's utmost respect.

"Thanks, you did well" I praised it, petting it's skull gently.

It's crimson red eyes seemed to burn more intense at my praise, seemingly happy It succeeded in proving it's worth.

"Now, you need a name" I murmured quietly. "From now on, your name is Raga" I concluded.

Raga seemed pleased with my decision which made me smile.

"Ohh yeah, can you talk?" I questioned stupidly.

The skeleton shook it's skull, indicating no. Well yeah, that's understandable considering the fact that it's a skeleton with nothing but bones...

"Hahaha..." I laughed mockingly at myself, shaking my head with amusement.

"I guess I will try another spell next, hehe" I giggled quietly to myself. I reached for the grimoire and flipped it open to look for an interesting spell to try.

BOOM!

A loud explosion suddenly erupted outside the cabin, causing the wooden walls to shake violently.

"What the f...!?" I cursed under my breath in shock.

Before I could process what was happening, another explosion followed, causing the entire cabin to tremble violently. The entire room shook violently, threatening to shatter anytime soon.

After a few seconds, everything had calmed down a bit, leaving only a few cracks around the cabin to be seen.

Once the dust started settling down, the door of the cabin was opened, revealing three figures dressed in red robes that are in deep crimson color that appeared to be almost as dark as dried blood, with gold accents and a wide hood that partially obscures the wearer's face.

"We finally found you, you wretched thief!" A female voice shouted angrily.

"Who are you people?!!" I demanded angrily.

"How dare you address us like that as if we are of your kind! We are the holy servants of god and not some lowly humans like you!" Another feminine voice replied with equal anger and irritation.

What...the...hell??? Holy servants? What the hell am I going through!? Are these people for real!? They looked like they're from an evil cult or something.

"Silence" A male voice commanded in a firm authoritative tone causing the two other women to shut their mouths immediately behind him.

The leader of this bunch stepped forward, walking towards me.

"We are here to retrieve the forbidden grimoire that was stolen from us" He told me threateningly.

"What does that have to do with me?!" I retorted with defiance.

"Because you have it" The leader replied coldly as he stepped closer. A sinister aura started emanating from him, giving me chills on my spine.

"Where is it!" He growled dangerously.

I finally realized that the forbidden grimoire that he mentioned was the one I'm hiding behind my back right now. What I'm confused about was I didn't stole it or anything, I literally bought it with my own money.

Ohh I see... no wonder that old man at the shop that I bought the grimoire from seemed shady as fuck! That old geezer knew exactly what this grimoire is and probably the one who stole it. But why would he steal this? And why would she sold it to me knowing damn well it belongs to an evil cult?

While Rael was questioning everything he could think of, Rhea was watching all of this unfolding silently. Her expressionless face showed no emotion apart from indifference. She seemed calm and collected, totally unaffected by this whole event. But, underneath that façade she was absolutely pissed.

The aura of pure death started leaking out of her. Slowly, it started seeping into her surroundings as if her very soul was screaming for the release of her hatred. Then suddenly, the aura of death erupted from her body and engulfed the entire place, causing the three intruders to tremble in fear.
