Once he had been made aware of everything proceeding as he wanted, he could do just as he wanted rather than being so easily controlled by her.
It would be quite simple for him to arrange for the payment to be made without putting himself in a vulnerable position.
James sighed before asking. "Are you certain that you want to risk your current place by bringing her there?"
Ash replied quickly showing the certain attitude of Cal. "I am certain. I did not plan on using this place forever and I would have to move on eventually. A lot of us have some grudges against her too now after all the difficulties she has put us through."
She continued to make it seem like there were no problems and that everything was being dealt with smoothly just like James wanted.
If there was anything that happened to go wrong then it could quite easily be dealt with and it would not come back to cause further problems for Cal or James.
