Something like that was nothing to Jason and it was already something that he knew Ash would be comfortable with accepting if he let her know that it was no problem for him.
It was not like giving her some of them would make his life any more difficult so it was not putting him in an awkward position.
If it was something that put him in a difficult situation then it would be unlikely that Ash would have accepted it which was shown during times when they occasionally went somewhere and either split the bills or one covered it one time then the other covered it the next.
Ash accepted his offer but she had already registered it in her mind as something that she would pay back later if she got the opportunity.
If there was ever a day when she was capable of doing that then she would not hesitate to do so.
His offer had made her feel a little closer to him too which was oddly comforting.
