Ash needed to be quick to attack it again to weaken its resistance so she hit it again causing it some more blunt damage.
Usually, a Spirit of such a low grade would be unable to endure that much battle damage.
The amount of damage they could take would be estimated to be somewhere close to taking the full brunt of an attack similar to a hard swing of a bat or another weapon.
Even if the intent was not to kill the Spirit by using blunt attacks rather than others, such damage was still enough to weaken and damage it internally.
Its energy and its body would suffer some damage but it would not be the same as sustaining a stab or cut that could cause far more severe injuries to them.
