The referee went over to Ash and asked her to put her hands out so she responded to his request.
What happened next was that they held onto her hands and checked several parts underneath the cloth wrapped around them before asking her to show the insides of her pockets if she had any.
They then checked the ankles and wrists of Ash before moving on to check her elbows and knees too.
Underneath the wrapped areas of her, it was quite easy for someone to try to hide a ring or something else like knuckle dusters underneath.
There may have been few rules involved in the fights but using weapons was something that was heavily banned.
It was already dangerous enough to have the fighters competing without pads so the risk involved with weapons would be much greater so there needed to be some limitations in place.
