Chapter 4 - 4 Dream

The Village of Roxan were graced by yet another lovely day, as the sun cast its warm rays over the peaceful village.

The denizens went about their daily routines, with the adults performing their necessary tasks. The men tended to the fields, reared livestock, and repaired structures, while the women took on the honorable role of caring for their families. Through this division of labor, the village enjoyed a measure of fairness and respect between the genders, making it a haven for all who lived there.

"That when something magical happened. When he opened his eyes and waved his hands, a sudden wind blew in gathering the cloud. Soon after...…"

"Are you reading?", John asked.

SLAM!!!!!

The boys slams the book close.

"Ace!!".

"Dad!!".

Physically, this boy might have a welcoming and approachable demeanor, with a warm smile and bright, curious eyes that seem to sparkle with intelligence. His face may be somewhat angular or chiseled, suggesting a strength of character and resolve beyond his years. He might have a lean and wiry build, with good posture and a confident gait that belies his youth. He was twelve years of age.

But his father, forty years of age.

"You are so adorable. I finished chopping wood, so let's go home and eat", John said delightfully as he swung the boy mid air.

WHOOAAAAA!!!!

"Dad, I have a question".

"How does someone use Magic", Ace asked as he and his father were making their way home.

"What?"

"Magic?"

"Is that the kind of book I got him", John asked himself.

John looked at Ace, his face suddenly serious. "Son, I don't know anything about magic," he said, his voice gentle but firm.

The boy's face fell, disappointment clear in his expression. "But how can that be? You always seem to know everything!"

His father chuckled. "I wish that were true, son. But the truth is, magic is not something that can be taught. It's something that comes from within you."

Ace looked puzzled. "What do you mean?"

"Well, think of it this way," his father explained.

"When we see someone do something extraordinary, something that seems almost impossible, we often say that it's magic. But really, it's just a person tapping into their own inner strength and potential."

The boy thought about this for a moment, his mind working to make sense of it.

"So, anyone can do magic?"

"Absolutely," his father replied, a smile spreading across his face. "It's not about waving a wand or saying a spell. It's about believing in yourself and your abilities. When you trust in your own power, you can do amazing things."

The boy nodded slowly, his eyes lighting up with understanding. "I get it now. So, what kind of amazing things can I do?"

"Well, that's up to you," his father replied. "Think about what you're passionate about, what you want to achieve in life. Then, focus on that goal and channel your energy towards it. That's the real magic, son."

"Look at me. I do magic everyday. If I can take down a beat with a single arrow or I can chop down trees with a single axe swing, that's magic, ain't it?"

Haahaahaa!!!!!!

As the boy continued his journey by his father's side, he saw some boys. They had huddled together in a circle, chatting excitedly about what they had just witnessed.

"Did you hear that? His dad doesn't know anything about magic!" one of the children exclaimed.

Another chimed in, "But he still taught him how to do something amazing!"

The group continued to discuss the conversation they had overheard, marveling at the idea that anyone could do magic if they just believed in themselves. They talked about the incredible things they could do if they focused their energy and channeled their inner strength.

John and his son reached home.

Twelve years had passed since he died in his previous life, and he found himself in a strange new world. At first, he was confused by everything around him.

The people dressed oddly, and they spoke a language foreign to him. He tried to resist, but he found himself in a baby's body. It took him a long time to understand and accept that he had been reborn into a new world, a world without the struggles of his past life.

This was a different world, one where he had a loving family, a name, and a face. He couldn't bear anyone ridiculing the things he now had.

"Everyone here is dirt poor, and we eat practically the same food every day, except during festive periods," Ace mused.

Admittedly, this life was only marginally better than his previous one in terms of enjoyment. However, the little differences, the warm house, the loving family, and the peaceful neighborhood were enough to make him content.

"I love it here. Haaa...

Ace knew he could make life better for himself and the people around him. Despite how much they annoyed him, he couldn't help but like these people.

Even when he caused trouble and made mistakes, they forgave him quickly.

"At least I don't stab or beat them half to death anymore. Those were dark days, were they not?" Ace whispered as he savored the breeze.

These five years were the best times of his life-at least the parts he could remember. He still didn't know why he was in this world, but Ace didn't care.

The world seemed to stand still as Ace surveyed his surroundings. He was here now, and that was all that mattered. The air was still and the only sound was the rustling of the leaves in the trees. Suddenly, a sharp voice pierced the silence, causing Ace to jump to his feet in alarm.

"Come on inside to have dinner", Maria shouted as Ace was out receiving fresh air.

"I am okay with this life but really I truly want more and I will strive to get more", Ace pronounced as he went in.

His daring smile and determined gaze never wavered, showing he truly meant every word he said. Whether or not he could achieve what he declared was a separate matter.

"Since you helped me with work today…. Tomorrow let's go to the capital together. I will buy you your favorite fruits", John told Ace.

Ace was obviously happy and enthusiastic.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans for Ace and the entirety of Koran. It would deal them the heaviest of blows, one that would forever change the course of his life.
