With a sigh, Adrian rubbed his eyes, while mumbling, "Who are these people?"
Taking a deep breath, Zero looked at both Qi and Fue, before carefully asking, "Let's get something straight here. You ARE Qi and you ARE Fue, right? Wait, umm… Let me rephrase. Do you two remember… Mora?"
As soon as they heard that name the two got excited both wanting to say something, but Fue was able to answer faster, "He's here! Wait uhh… You want us to prove we're the real us from Earth, right. Murphy's law. Oh and if that's not enough. Remember that time during the Golden Sun Para-"
A burst of forced laughter stopped Fue from continuing, as Adrian grinned through his teeth scooping the girls into his arms, "That's enough! I believe you."
Hearing THAT mentioned, Zero coughed, "Sorry for doubting you two. I've grown paranoid in my old age. Hahaha- Please don't mention that day."
Nodding his head, Adrian spoke swiftly changing the subject, "I've been wondering this since I saw you again, but why do both of you look like babies again, and what happened during the time we were away."
Noticing her chance to speak, Qi spoke up, "Umm… Well long story, short… er. After your… 'unfortunate end' your body- what was left of your body, was returned to us. During our grief we found your body releasing a weird energy that led us to finding our bloodlines."
Pausing for a second, Qi let the information sink in before continuing, "After that remnants of the Monster Lord's cult came for us, but we escaped. Oh yeah, thanks to our bloodlines fully awakening our life span was stretched. So after escaping, we hide away from Sanctuary, training our bloodlines, after sending your body off to the after."
After another short pause, Qi let Fue tell some of the stories, "We stayed away for a long time before a black and pink meteorite fell in the heart of Sanctuary giving spawn to Qi's hubby. But before that, Human's stole the egg, experimented on it, stole its genome, and implanted it in their lesser Evolution Chips. It made them much stronger, almost reaching the height of Nine Emotions, Scaled Body's power."
Sporting a wry smile, Fue shook her head, continuing, "However, after they forcefully tried to 'update' everyone else's chips to strengthen humanity, killing everyone who refused. It turned out that after five years a human body would reject the genome liquefying the host… At that point both of us were busy struggling with our first evolutions otherwise we would have-"
Noticing Fue's killing intent stirred, Qi interrupted, taking over, "What Fue meant to say is that we hated them after what they did to you and Dee so we wouldn't have tried to help them. Fast forward another fifteen years me and Fue finally completed our first evolution, descending back down to what was left of Sanctuary. We found that no one had survived, however I…"
Embarrassed, Qi hid her face in her wings, "I took an interest in a strange egg I found. We took the egg with us everywhere after that. For a long time after that we struggled to evolve further, watching the world around us be overtaken by nature, all the while the egg showed no signs of hatching. Luckily, Fue ran off to the shores where we found that monsters had made their way to us."
Interrupting Qi, Fue butted in, "It turns out that the monsters had a very faint bloodline allowing us to finally make progress. A long time later we finally broke through again allowing us to no longer need oxygen and our bodies became incredibly resistant. We also found out that the egg had this film that was constantly struggling to draw in energy. By the way, Earth sucks, did you know it formed in a null zone?"
Rolling her eyes, Qi slapped Fue with her wing, before letting her continue, "Fine! Basically we whipped out the entire monster population allowing us to progress in our bloodlines. Turns out that you need to eat a TON of monster meat to ever get a single fluctuation. At some point we messed around finding we could fly. So this love bird decided to drag me and the egg into space where we found the same odd film surrounding Earth's solar system."
Fue got tired of explaining so she nudged Qi forward, "After leaving the film, the egg finally got released gluttonously consuming all the energy in the area around us, didn't you call it… Dark matter or something? Whatever, so our bloodlines wouldn't evolve further after and we didn't know what to do after the monsters went extinct. But, being as smart as I was, I tried copying the egg. However, it was incredibly hard to do… so I became obsessed with doing it perfectly."
Fue coughed, rolling her eyes, but Qi ignored her, "It took… over a thousand years, but I figured it out. After I made progress, Fue copied me. Around that time the egg started to hatch, and thus my adorable Long Long was born. After he hatched, he was fine in the vacuum of space, but he didn't understand us. But, he fell in love with me at first sight!"
Hearing how Qi talked about the egg, Long Long, Adrian could easily tell that there was something more between them, but he wanted to laugh when Qi said Long Long fell in love at first sight, as that was probably imprinting…
Getting bored Fue took over the conversation rushing through the rest, "So after that, we taught him how to communicate through telepathy. Oh by the way we got that immediately after our first evolution. Long Long absorbed information like a sponge. We played around together until the sun imploded destroying the solar system and the film."
"After that we spent way too long wandering around space where we ended up accidentally creating three 'new' species. NO, WE DIDN'T MATE TO MAKE THEM! We watched how multiple human-esc civilizations formed and fell, however that cursed sun would always destroy them after a while. Of course after they fell we fed the monsters to our respective clans, after gifting them a small portion of our bloodline. Oh yeah, at that point we were already on our seventh evolution."
"Yata Yata, we watched the entire universe collapse. We became stupidly powerful after our tenth evolutions. A few billion years later, Nexus Time, we felt your presence, tried to help you, we couldn't. So in the end we decided to regress to this state so we could. Oh yeah also, Long Long and Qi are lovers now and they have seven children, who are still eggs. Final thing, right. After our original Earth's universe ended, we and our clans made a small semi-solar system in the void that was left behind. Any Questions?"
Completely lost and confused, Adrian and Zero's jaws were on the floor and their eyes were wide open.
