Even though they went to sleep on separate cloud beds, by the time Zero woke up everyone had snuggled together fusing the clouds into one large bed for them to share.
Being the first to wake, Zero had to move arms, legs, and knees off of his body.
Groggily, Zero yawned before reaching into the pile lifting out Fue and Qi to check up on them after everything that they went through yesterday.
Carefully removing them from the others without waking anyone proved to be much harder than he had thought.
But after a little finagling he could get them to another newly made cloud bed.
Trying to separate the two quickly proved impossible as they were tightly latched together and inseparable.
Rolling his eyes, Zero listened close to their heartbeats and body movements trying to figure out a general condition.
In Zero unprofessional medical opinion, the two seemed fine, if he had to say anything everything was too good.
It was like they had broken through a cultivation realm as their bodies seemed to have been strengthened, their energy reserves reached a new realm, and their mental energy skyrocketed.
Just as Zero was about to give up and wait till they awoke, when he felt two faint bloodlines radiating from their hearts.
Instantly sending Zero's mind into overdrive, wondering how they had been affected by their bloodlines.
His knowledge was limited as the only real bloodline he had ever faced was his and Adrian's Mythos Path Bloodline, warping his perception of bloodlines into something that gave great power with severe side effects.
Under the assumption that their bloodlines would cause the girls major problems, Zero woke Adrian up to ask for help.
Upset by the sudden waking, Adrian wanted to punch Zero, but his anger was quickly quelled when Zero explained in a hushed voice, "I think the girls are in danger!"
Carefully Adrian rolled off the cloud, before jumping to his feet and rushing over to Qi and Fue.
When he got to them Adrian's panicked face turned to disgust, as he whipped his head around confronting Zero, "They look healthier than ever! Asswhole, don't scare me like that!"
Shaking his head, Zero tried to explain himself, "They are too healthy, but that's not the worry now! They've been afflicted with a bloodline!"
Their commotion woke the two concerned from their sleep.
Upon waking up the two yawned and stretched in tandem, before looking up at Adrian and Zero with their big eyes.
With somber eyes, Adrian coughed while forcing a smile, "Sorry for waking you… Go back to sleep, it's ok."
Hearing Adrian's voice, both Qi and Fue tilted their heads before noticing something off about Adrian.
He was looking at them!
The blind Adrian was looking at them without any energy movements meaning it wasn't omnipotence, but his actual sight!
Adrian's once blue eyes had turned gray after being blinded, but now they had turned a purplish gray-gold color.
To explain this change we need to go back to when Adrian had released the energy to refine his mental world into a true realm.
As during that process the newly acquired Mythos Eyes Cultivation Art that had latched on to his brain awakened.
Being a passive cultivation manual, Adrian had no way to practice it himself, but when certain conditions were met it would activate and replace his eyes.
Much to Adrian's enjoyment that condition just so happened to be having access to at least one [ancestral source] and during that transformation Adrian's entire body was bathed in 4,911 different primordial ancestral sources.
It would have been more unlikely to not have the manual awaken under such conditions even if they lasted such a short time.
Unfortunately, very few sources were able to permanently be encoded into the Art.
On the plus side Adrian's new Mythos Eyes replaced his old eyes, and the only thing that was true to his original name, making his vision able to see in more detail, farther, and more spectrums than a normal human eyes.
Further enhancing the eyes was Adrian's innately superhuman senses making them superior to any ocular technique he had ever seen, that was not powered by chakra or other "fantasy powers."
Back in the present the girls were confused and ecstatic when they saw Adrian's eyes staring back at them, while Adrian and Zero were panicking trying to figure out what to do about their girls' bloodlines.
Oblivious to the other side's thoughts they both sat there in silence thinking about what to do.
After fifteen seconds of staring between them, Adrian broke the silence asking, "Can you chirp once if you're hurting? And twice if you're fine!"
Tilting their heads, Qi and Fue spoke telepathically amongst themselves before nodding their heads chirping twice at the same time.
Though Qi's chirp was more of a high pitched 'yip' but no need for semantics.
Next to speak up was Zero as he asked, "We're gonna ask a few questions, ok? You can answer by chirping once for no and twice for yes."
With that out of the way Adrian and Zero began to rapid fire questions.
"Do either of you have any chest pain?"
Both Qi and Fue chirped once.
"Fue does that crown cause you pain?"
Shaking her small head, Fue chirped once.
"Qi, is your second tail causing you any pain?"
Shaking her entire body, Qi yipped once.
"Do you two know what bloodlines are?"
Looking between each other both Qi and Fue instantly realized why they were being questioned like this.
Adrian and Zero were expecting a chirp of a yip to answer their question however what they heard was much more shocking.
In the depth of their minds both Adrian and Zero heard two voices that closely resemble the sounds Qi and Fue would make.
After a few seconds of imperceptible chatting between Qi and Fue, before they simultaneously spoke up, "Yep~"
The panic on Adrian and Zero's faces cycled between horror and confusion, sure they have had more than their fair share of run-ins with talking animals, but never telepathically.
All the more shocking was that it was Qi and Fue, the two that they raised from birth, who talked to them.
Wide-eyed and slack-jawed, Adrian and Zero looked between each other and the girls before looking back at each other and slapping the other person.
Simultaneously, both of them shouted, "OW! Not a dream!"
