To them, sparing Adrian was simply something that fit their interests, and let's face it entertainment, but as they listed out his abilities and circumstances they found him to be more useful than they ever believed.
Amid their arguing Demon pointed into the pond and muttered, "Why don't we just watch and wait? I mean he already did something that none of us could, admittedly we lived before the island program was implemented, but you know what I mean."
Hearing Demon's suggestion, Eve hurmped, while sitting along the lake's edge trying not to verbally tell Demon he was right.
Gramps & Seal exchanged looks before summoning chairs and following Demon's suggestion.
Watching this, Demon scratched the back of his head having not expected them to listen.

Back on the island…
Adrian's thoughts were interrupted by Sakura's intrigued voice, ~Rain, do you know anything about that book?~
This seemed like a dumb question between the two as they could almost share memories at this point.
Adrian couldn't help but confusedly ask, "What makes you think that?"
~Well it's like… Every time you think about the details of the book your brain lags before starting a new thought.~ Sakura innocently responded
Adrian became even more confused when suddenly a message popped into his vision.
[Cursed Writer's influence on your mind has been acknowledged]
[Cursed Writer embarrassingly sponsors 50 fate value to explain]
["That influence was only to stop you from forcing open the book, you shouldn't have any prior knowledge of MY books."]
Watching the messages pop in and out as he read them he could only think about how dumb the reasoning is for these beings to do anything.
Letting the exchange go, Adrian started to walk down the path hoping to quickly reunite with Dee as he missed his only child.
After walking for around 15 minutes Adrian came upon a small door with a brain rune and a familiar message hanging in his way. Without even taking the time to read the message Adrian confidently walked down the passage.
After only a few minutes of walking Adrian came upon a hazy purple marble-like pill suspended in the air. When Adrian concentrated on the pill three messages appeared.
[Appraisal Lvl 1, skill unlocked]
[Pantheon of Blank Pill]
[Description: By eating this pill your Pantheon link will be reestablished. May cause slight pain]
Unlike the previous time Adrian used the appraisal skill this one felt underwhelming, but just the fact he gained a new skill was already a perk.
Without a moment's hesitation, Adrian snatched the pill from the air, popping it in his mouth.
Upon meeting the acidic saliva in Adrian's mouth the pill instantly dissolved, weirdly as soon as it happened Adrian had a premonition telling him that he made a mistake.
Not even a second later Adrian felt like worms crawled up from his throat through his skin and into his brain. As if that wasn't enough when they settled into his brain an intense nails on a chalkboard sensation overloaded his brain causing even wisdom to intervene.
Not only did wisdom not help it made it worse as it acted as an amplifier making the whole process take much longer than it should.
The pain wouldn't have been a problem if not for the sensory overload causing every ounce of information his brain processed to be felt throughout every other process. For a moment Adrian could feel color, taste sound, and smell texture.
After an unknown amount of time, the sensation slowed before playing in reverse as the wormy feeling crawled back through his brain stem into his throat before returning to a simple liquid and dropping into his stomach.
Once his mind calmed down Adrian could hear two worried voices calling out to him.
With a forced smile, Adrian comforted them saying, "I'm fine now."
Contrary to his words each time he moved his throat that wormy sensation would return making it almost disgusting to speak.
Both Sakura and Dee noticed so they gave him some time to purge the process from his memories.
After a couple of minutes, Adrian's tense throat untensed as he spoke asking Dee, "Are you ok?"
Dee excitedly responded in a slightly high-pitched voice, "I'm ok. Oh yeah Dad, while you were gone I learned something cool."
Before Adrian could even speak, Sakura's sweet voice responded, ~We would love to see, will you show us?~
Dee excitedly yelled, "OK!"
After having said that Adrian felt his head turn extremely cold as his mind was forced into his own Pantheon.
Inside was a dilapidated Temple with seven seats adorning the main hall each with a different rune above them, but when he looked closer his mind returned to his body.
Confused, Adrian looked around when a ball of light appeared in front of his face.
After a few seconds, the ball of light took form.
The first thing to form was an about-inch wide blue marble, quickly followed by an androgynous spirit-like child holding onto the orb, while the final thing that formed didn't fit the image of the previous two as it was an armor-clad shadow with glowing eyes and three horns holding the spirit.
When he looked closer the spirit had one large horn on the left of its head while two smaller horns on the right all covered in mated silver hair that hid its pale-blue skin and pointed ears.
Golden eyes peeked from under that messy silver hair and when they did black robes covered its pale-blue skin leaving only its azure blue tail exposed.
The entire process only took moments, but each part of the process had mesmerized Adrian making him unable to even worry about what it might be, luckily for him a familiar voice escaped the spirit's mouth.
Immediately Adrian knew who the voice belonged to, when it said, "Deddy, how do I look?!"
That soft accent that had no reason to exist and the familiar tone instantly gave it away as Dee's new form.
While the form was barely 6 inches tall Adrian could tell what each part represented.
The marble being Dee's core which was hidden by their soft and loving personality which had been shielded by an ironclad mask from their time as Devolver.
