Chen Ming Zhu stood in the shadows by her bedroom window, her back to the room.
From her vantage position on the third floor of the mansion where thier mansion was located, she had a bird's eye view of the sprawling neighbourhood.
Down on the vast empty roads she could spot cars racing.
She was deeply engrossed in the outside world that she did not notice the maiden who was standing outside her bedroom door.
A soft knock on her door brought back to concentration.
She heard the creaking of the door hinges then in came a three young ladies each carrying a tray filled with different type delicacies on them.
"May I come in?" The young lady asked politely.
"Yes!" Chen Ming Zhu replied.
"Miss your car is ready and the driver is already in waiting for you." The young lady said.
"Where are you taking all that foodstuff to?" Chen Ming Zhu asked.
"Miss Chen Yu Ming has ordered so."
"She orders so much food was she on a hunger strike or is she simply trying to finish all the food remaining in this household?" Chen Ming Zhu asked rather sarcastically.
"Miss Chen Ming Zhu we will be on our way." The eldest maiden said as she bowed slightly before taking off with the other two following her from behind.
Chen Ming Zhu ran to the bathroom, took a warm bath and slipped into her gold and red silk dress which had a pussy bow on the left lower side of the waist and wore her cream stilettos. On her left side, hang a silvery handbag. She sat in front of the mirror admiring her dress for a minute.
She heard the creaking of the door hinges then in came her sister - Chen Yu Ming.
"Sister, where are you off to at this late hour? To a night party?" She inquired.
"'What does it concern you with if I'm off to a night party?"
"I am just caring for my elder sister, and that's a problem."
"Firstly before you care about me why don't you care for those hungry rats that run around in this house by feeding them?"
"Huh? Why are you so rude? Do you think that you are now a rough diamond just because you won a stupid so called award?"
"Please I don't deal with hoipolloi, so get out of my 'rough diamond' room." Chen Ming Zhu said as she pushed her sister out of her room and locked the door on her face.
.........
The guests to the hotel were welcomed by hosts who always smiled amiably as if they were instructed to do so.
The hotel had a vintage look, from the orchestra playing classical music at the middle of the room to the dark and enciting colours painted in the room.
The hotel had two floors, it also had a variety of seats and private rooms from which one could choose from.
The services provided there were also good enough.
The hotel satisfied all the guests recommendations since there were different types of seats starting from two, four, six, eight and twelve or even more.
In the twelve seats arrangements there was a flower vase at the middle of the table with each seat having an empty white plate, a drinking glass, a napkin and some forks and spoons arranged on the side.
There were sleek modern lights hanging from the ceiling creating a mystic like atmosphere.
The staircase which led to the upper room was beautifully decorated with grey tiles.
One who was seated on the upper room had a perfect glimpse of the lower room.
In the three seats area where Chen Ming Zhu was seated, there was a flower vase at the middle of the table with each seat having an empty white plate, a drinking glass, a napkin and some forks and spoons arranged on the side.
The hosts there were dressed in a white notched long sleeved shirt perfectly tucked in a navy blue long well fitted side slit skirt and in a pair of black platform plumps.
Each lady had their hair tied in a sleek ponytail and a watch on her wrist as if they were instructed to do so.
The gents wore a navy blue italian suit with a waist coat and black oxfords.
There were three caladebra lamps on the table.
The table, set for three was attractive with golden lace clothes, fine silver and tall Venetian hock glasses.
But as Chen Ming Zhu seated herself opposite Liu Meng Yao and another lusty and jandsone man who was seated opposite of Chen Ming Zhu's seat and Liu Meng Yao.
Chen Ming Zhu stretched her hand and had a firm handshake with the handsome man.
"Hello my names are Chen Ming Zhu." She introduced herself.
"And I'm Huang Yong Le," the man introduced himself.
Huang Yong Le took Chen Ming Zhu's hand and raised it to his lips, it was the second time he had done so and Chen Ming Zhu did not like it any better than the first time he had done it.
She was only thinking about the delicious food that was sooner going to be arranged on the table.
"What are you going to do next? Act another show, or maybe go on a one month hiatus?" Liu Meng Yao asked.
Chen Ming Zhu was sipping the Turkish coffee from a golden porcelain teacup which acted as the entrèe.
She put the cup down and glanced at Liu Meng Yao.
"What do you think I should do,Liu Meng Yao?" She asked.
"Act another show, win more and more hearts." Liu Meng Yao replied confidently.
Chen Ming Zhu looked satisfied, happy and a little odd, to Liu Meng Yao's way of thinking, when she opened her amazonian blue eyes to the widest extent. Liu Meng Yao found that odd.
A smile broke the frozen mask of her thin face.
Liu Meng Yao raised her eyebrows and began to drink her own coffee, which a waitress had just poured into a tiny, fragile cup of great beauty. White, egg-shell China: fluted, with a gold-leaf interior. Everything there was beautiful and expensive.
The light from the candles on the table suddenly reflected the gleam from a diamond ring on Liu Meng Yao's little finger.
