"Why don't I make you a deal? Leave us alone, and I won't kill you?" Lucien said, his eyes darting from Barca's eyes to his sword.
Barca gave a dry laugh before swinging his sword at Lucien. Lucien quickly jumped back, the sword almost scraping the skin of his stomach. Barca swung his sword again, and Lucien dodged it again, but before he could find his footing, Barca smashed his foot into Lucien's stomach.
Lucien fell and landed on his back. Barca stood over him, with his blade against Lucien's throat.
"You should have given me the witch when I asked the first time," Barca said with a smug smile.
Levina watched as Lucien hit the ground. His efforts to save her were admirable, but she knew he wouldn't stand a chance without a sword. She looked around and found a rock. She quickly picked it up and took a few steps closer to Barca. Her shot had a better chance of hitting the target if the distance wasn't that much.
