Soren glared at him, shook his head, and looked away. After several moments of silence passed, Soren sighed and returned his gaze to Lucien. "You do remember that you will be getting married soon, right?"
Lucien nodded without sparing a glance at him. "I have not forgotten. Like I said earlier, Levina and I are just friends." Only that she could not belong to anyone else, he added mentally. Being just friends with Levina was proving to be a Herculean task. But he was a dragon, made of ancient flames, he could handle anything. Levina inclusive.
Aerilyn and Marie stood miles apart from each other on the forest path. Upon seeing Levina, they were forced to come together to meet her.
"Where is your bag?" Aerilyn quizzed. Marie's gaze immediately fell on Levina's empty hands and she frowned.
"Let me guess, you don't want to leave your precious prince behind," Marie snarled.
