"Yes, my lord," her voice was followed by the clatter of the silver tray as it touched the marble floor and then the sound of her footsteps as she walked away.
"I will take my leave now," Levina said as she started towards the door. She avoided making eye contact as her skin flushed from embarrassment. One question kept ringing in her head: why did he stop?
But she was not in a good position to ask him anything; she was too flustered.
