Levina's heart sank at the sight. If she could, she would erase those hurtful memories from him and create cozier memories just for him.
"She would do anything for Zarek, gave him whatever he asked for, without caring how it made me feel."
"I'm so sorry about that. I had no idea."
He shrugged. "It's alright. I've already made my peace with it."
She flashed a toothed smile, a feeble attempt at cheering him up.
"So on that sunny day, I found myself in the market, wandering about with an alien feeling of freedom in my hands. That was when I found her, a young girl my age, equally alone, just not by choice. She had lost her way in the market," Levina smiled at the memory. She recalled him standing above her and stretching out his hand to help her up. She just didn't know what he would come to mean to her.
