"I will not force you to show up, but I will be waiting for you and I really hope you show up." He let go of her hand and stepped away.
Without wasting time, Levina hurried out of the room and slammed the door shut behind her. If she had stayed any longer, she would have given in to his demands. He had that effect on her.
Levina entered the kitchen in search of Aerilyn. She hadn't seen her since they arrived. When she did not see Aerilyn, she turned to leave, and that was when she felt it.
The same eerie presence she had felt on her first day at the castle. Goosebumps littered her skin as the presence grew stronger.
She spun around and almost bumped into him.
"Hello, Levina," he smiled.
Levina stepped backward, putting a reasonable amount of distance between them. Something about him made her want to hide away. But she knew better than to show weakness. Men like him feed off people's weaknesses.
