Chapter 40 - 14.1: The World's End

Flickering light. Blinded eyes. Pulled along by a hand.

"This way! This way! We'll get it right this time."

It had been the 10th time he'd said that.

"And don't try to break out of the restraints."

They came loose long ago.

We walked further and further. It was cold but the candle's warmth led the way.

Burm. The sound of rocks clattering to the ground. He grunted and through my bandage covered eyes, a white light seeped through.

The black bell would ring and the world would change.

The world would turn golden and angels would wonder the skies. Two Suns sheltered us as we pretended to be gods, reshaping the world as we pleased.

The bell rang again and water filled the Earth spreading out to the universe and us along with the creatures became one with the stars.

We continued to do this until the boy became pleased and ultimately decided to rest
