Arabelle couldn't help but feel that the place she was in looked nothing like hell. It was actually quite the opposite. The huge chandelier that shone golden lights all over the room, the folding and sliding glass doors that showcased the beautiful scenery of trees and flowers outside.
When she thought of hell, she would think of never ending flames that burned a person's body but never to ashes, and with the looks of it, the man in front of her had a very fine face and body.
"Do not think too much, cupcake. You must be hungry. I had the maids prepare you hangover soup." The man quickly grabbed her hand as he led her out of the room. Arabelle marveled at the house. Everything in it screamed extreme wealth. The golden handrails by the staircase, the various artifacts distributed around the hall way.
Arabelle knew that if she walked alone in this house, she would end up getting lost. She didn't even know when they arrived at the dining table. She finally noticed when the smell of different delicacies hit her nose at once. Her stomach grumbled in delight and she couldn't help but feel embarrassed as she quickly settled down on one of the seats.
She watched as the man settled in front of her, then she realized she didn't even know his name.
"What's your name?" She asked and the man's eyes looked at her like she was an object of interest.
"Isn't me being the devil enough introduction?" He had a glint in his eyes as he spoke. And that was when Arabelle knew she was being teased.
"I am being serious, Mr. Devil." She uttered, her voice not being too loud or too soft but it still reached his hearing.
"Asher. Asher Roth."
"Arabelle." She didn't add a surname. It was better that way than to later have to share her complicated family history with him at some point.
The table soon became silent after. After she had eaten to her fill and drank the hangover soup, she had no idea of what to do. Should she stand up and leave or should she wait? But if she indeed stood up, where exactly did she plan on going to? The house was like a maze.
Just then, Asher stood up and walked back upstairs. She quickly followed him and her line of sight was filled with his long and lean back which exuded an air of power as he walked. His hands which were inserted into his pocket was brought out when he made to open the door to the room they had been in earlier.
He walked into the bathroom, leaving Arabelle to think.
After some time, the man came out of the bathroom. Arabelle who had turned towards the bathroom was stunned. The man whose handsomeness she thought couldn't go further decided to prove her wrong.
His body was covered by a thick, black robe and his wet hair fell across his eyes sexily. He was so dangerously attractive. There was an air around him that made you want to cower back in fear and at the same time, advance forward.
"Let's discuss our contract, little bunny." Arabelle quickly snapped out of her daze at that. The amused smile the man gave out made her realize that she had been caught staring. A tint of red stained her cheeks. Then her mind completely focused on what he said.
Contract? What contract?
"What contract are you talking about, Mr. Roth?" Her curious self couldn't help but ask.
Asher didn't reply. He slowly walked to another door in the room that she hadn't even noticed. He went in and brought out a folder which had the contract in it.
Her eyes meticulously scanned through the contract. It stated:
[Condition 1: Party A must live with Party B and under no circumstances, even if outside, will both of them live separately.]
Arabelle continued to silently read the contract. She could deal with condition 1. He had already told her she couldn't leave easily if she agreed anyways.
[There shall be consequences if Conditions stated in contract are not met]
[Consequence if Party A fails to abide by Condition 1: Party B will be allowed to state two punishments and party B must choose one out of it.]
WHAT!? Arabelle gazed at the man who had made himself comfortable on a chair. She needed no one to tell her that the man in front of her was sly and mischievious.
[Condition 2: Party A must accompany Party B in bed at night.}
Arabelle's hand froze on the paper she was holding. She peeked at the man again through the corner of her eyes. "Do we have to go with Condition 2. It doesn't seem necessary." Her brows creased thinking of her and Asher on the same bed. Wasn't it too much? They hadn't even known each other for too long.
"Read the consequence." As Asher said that, her eyes quickly looked down at the papers to continue reading.
[Consequence if Party A fails to abide by Condition 2: Party A must grant a request from Party B no matter what it is.]
Arabelle sharply inhaled. Who knew if what the devil would ask her for would be worse than just accompanying him in bed?
Her eyes quickly scanned through the rest of the contract.
[Condition 3: Party A must arrive home before 7:30p.m sharp.]
[Condition 4: Party A is not allowed to have any outside relationship with any other man during the duration of time of which Party A and Party B are to live together.]
[Consequences if Party A fails to abide by Condition 3 and 4: Party B shall be allowed to do one intimate thing with Party A.]
Arabelle's brows creased. This man was just freely showing his shamelessness without any hindrance. Intimate thing? Her thoughts couldn't help but go wild at that. It was because she needed his help.
[Party A has all right to revoke contract if Party B shows any form of violence towards Party A more than once.]
"This is all? I remember you saying I have to do all I stated including being your wife." She couldn't help but flip through the contract one more time.
"Do you want me to add it now, little bunny? I will do it." Asher winked at her, a wicked smile curving along his lips. His little bunny was such an interesting person.
