"What's wrong?" Janet asked.
As usual, she was the only one to notice the change in my expression other than my maid, other people, including members of my family, always seemed to forget I existed. I'd always wondered why - weren't family meant to be the ones closest to you? Whenever I asked them why, they'd tell me that only the strong deserved recognition. I knew I was bad at spells, but didn't my physical stats contribute to my strength?
"Nothing," I said with a smile. "I was just thinking."
She looked at me suspiciously for a while before saying, "Okay, but if something is bothering you, don't hesitate to tell me."
I smiled at her and nodded, and we continued watching the tournament.
As time continued to flow, I realized I had less than three minutes left to excuse myself from the event.
"OOOOHHHHHHHH!"
The spectators cheered loudly as I turned to see the source of their cheering, it was Draxus, the dark horse of the tournament. He had just defeated his opponent in a domineering way, and as the crowd continued cheering for him, he turned to me and pointed to himself, then to me, as if to say, "I'm coming for you."
I left immediately - I didn't have much time left. I ran through the hallways. If I remembered correctly, there was a portal here that led directly to the palace - it was only accessible to royals, which I was thankfully. I opened the door and rushed into the portal room. I threw the man's stones into the slots around me and quickly teleported.
I had fifty-nine seconds left. I looked up towards my room. My maid, Anne, was busy cleaning, so she had opened the windows - how lucky was I?
I transformed into my dragon form and flew toward the window, then transformed back and landed in my room.
"Out!" I growled at Anne. I would apologize to her later for that.
She ran out hurriedly, not without turning back to give me a worried gaze. I smiled inwardly as she closed the door.
"Now to see what this is," I thought.
I knew I should be suspicious, and part of me wanted to be suspicious, but I just had this feeling that whatever was going to happen was good for me - like I was regaining a lost part of myself. It was weird, right? I didn't remember ever losing any part of myself.

[ BEGINNING RESTORATION PROCESS]
Shit!
Pain assaulted my entire being. My head felt like it was about to split apart, and my body felt like it was going through a shredder. I tried my best to hold in my screams, painfully groaning from time to time. The last thing I saw before I blacked out was my sister rushing to my side, shouting something. I think she was calling my name.

[ JANET'S POV ]
Jenna had been acting weird ever since we got here. I wondered what was up with her. I divided my attention, half watching the tournament while also keeping an eye on Jenna. I noticed when that fool, Draxus, looked at my sister with those ridiculing eyes. I should teach the fool a lesson. As I thought of what I could do to him, I noticed Jenna standing up and running away. I looked at Draxus in anger and chased after her.
"So that's why she has been acting weird," I thought to myself.
She probably felt inferior sitting among people she thought were better than her. That idiot - how many times had I told her that twins were born to complement each other? I'd never thought of her as useless. As an assassin class, I had high speed and agility, but my defense and attack power weren't that high. I could only do short-burst attacks with guaranteed high damage if they hit, that's where she came in.
With her stats, Jenna could keep the enemy distracted if I failed, while I prepared for another attack. Personally, I believed Jenna was meant to be a battlemonk or something like that. It was probably an accident that she got chosen as a mage.
I saw her heading toward the portal room and followed her, but by the time I got there, she was gone. There was a three-minute interval before the portal could be used again - a failsafe added in case of a traitor in the royal family.
I got to the palace and headed for Jenna's room, only to find her rolling on the floor in pain.
"Jenna!" I shouted.
I saw her closing her eyes and rushed to her. I sighed in relief - she was still breathing, she was just unconscious.
After confirming her status with the physician, I laid on the bed beside her and dozed off. An hour later, I woke up to see my sister smiling stupidly.
