Chapter 14 - Does world create it's own story?

The Spring Water of the Flood Dragon is one of the best things in this world to train the body and also enhance talent.

If I bathe in the Spring Water of the Flood Dragon, then I will be able to break through the 6th grade this week without any problems, and my body will be stronger than that of the average person in the 6th grade.

As for how I obtained a map of the Spring Water of the Flood Dragon, it was lying around in an old blacksmith shop. Elmer, the protagonist of the novel, goes to the blacksmith shop after the school evaluation ends and finds the map.

Afterward, he and Ava went there but encountered a powerful monster. Elmer and Ava did their best to kill the beast, and they succeeded, but Ava got injured, and Elmer had to carry her to the Spring Water of the Flood Dragon.

That was also the point where the seed of love was planted in Ava's heart for Elmer.

Actually, I'm not planning to take away any of Elmer's fortunate encounters, but this Spring Water of the Flood Dragon isn't significant for Elmer; even without this Spring Water, he would be fine. However, the problem is that I snatched the romantic moments that Elmer could have had.

Not that it matters much since there will be many moments in the future, so there is no problem. Eventually, Ava will fall for Elmer.

However, there was something that truly surprised me. It was Aunt Evelyn. I never thought that she would be an E-Rank Magician.

(From now on, I will use the term "Magician" for those who use Elemental Attacks, "Knight" for those who use a sword or other weapons, and "Magician Knight" for those who use both magic and weapons.)

It was strange. If Aunt Evelyn is an E-Rank Magician, then she shouldn't have died in a car accident. The novel said she died in a car accident, and it never mentioned anything about Evelyn being an E-Rank Magician.

"Does this new world create its own story?" I thought. If it's true that this world created the story of someone like Aunt Evelyn being powerful and getting killed by some gang for some reason, then that would be a huge problem.

I sighed and shook my head. I don't have to think about this too much. What I have to think about is getting strong, strong enough that I won't lose Aunt Evelyn. I won't let that car accident happen. But if someone is trying to kill her, then it will be a problem. Still, I must overcome that problem to save the only person in this world and the first person in my life who cares for me.

I smiled as I thought of Aunt Evelyn and how she cared about me. I just couldn't stop myself from smiling. Just yesterday, I was stealing for a portion of food, and I was crying because I lost the book. I was crying because I was alone. But now I have someone with me who cares about me and supports me.

I can't help but smile.

----

A large, ornate bathtub stood in the bathroom, its edges embellished with intricate carvings. The tub was filled to the brim with warm water, its surface reflecting the glow of the surrounding candles. Wisps of steam rose from the water, carrying a gentle fragrance of lavender and rose.

Evelyn stepped gracefully into the tub. Her movements were graceful. The warm liquid embraced her body, enveloping her in its comforting warmth.

Evelyn's expression mirrored a sense of profound relaxation as she reclined in the tub, allowing the water to cradle her form. Her delicate fingers gently caressed the surface, creating ripples that spread across the tranquil pool. The sensation brought a contented sigh to her lips.

A subtle smile graced her face as her eyes closed, shutting out the world beyond the confines of the serene space. She leaned back, her body sinking into the warm water as tension melted away with each passing moment.

Beads of water glistened upon her shoulders and cascaded down her neck, tracing a path across her collarbone. The water enhanced her natural beauty, accentuating her curves and casting a captivating aura around her.

Evelyn thought of Devin, and she sighed. She was glad that Devin had told her about this. If he hadn't told her and had gone off by himself, there was a one-in-a-million chance he would have found out about the Spring Water. She was afraid that the adventurers he had hired would kill him to keep the location of the Spring Water hidden.

The Spring Water of the Flood Dragon was precious; even people who became A-Rank magicians or knights were greedy for it.

The effect of the Spring Water is only to increase a person's rank by one grade if they are below S-Rank. If she bathed in the Spring Water, she would become a D-Rank Magician, and if Devin bathed in it, he would become a 6th Grade Knight.

And for Devin, the benefits are significant. Since he is still a 7th Grade Knight, he would receive many benefits in tempering his body. As for her, there won't be any effect on body tempering.

The Spring Water not only helps a person raise their rank by one, but it also strengthens their body beyond the average person. However, only those of Numbered Grades can undergo body tempering in the Spring Water. A person with a lower-numbered grade body will receive better tempering in the Spring Water, resulting in far better future results.

If Devin bathes in the Spring Water, the benefits he receives will be enough for him to be placed in the A Class. Evelyn smiled as she thought of this. Although the Spring Water is as rare as finding a needle in a vast ocean, and to this date, only three Spring Waters have been found, Evelyn doesn't have much hope that she will find any Spring Water by following the map.

However, she still holds a tiny hope, a hope that she might find it and help Devin become stronger. She wants nothing more than to help Devin become even stronger, and whether she finds the Spring Water or not, she would give him the ten Mana Pills she has.

Evelyn chuckled as she remembered when she said she would rather die than give anyone a single piece of a Mana Pill. But now she is willing to give ten Mana Pills. She never mentioned this to her daughter.

Evelyn smiled and closed her eyes. She loves Devin, and she hopes he becomes strong.
