Louis and Alicia had finally arrived at the ocean where the plane crash had happened, three hours later.
They got out of the car and stood on the dock. It was midnight. They could see the vast ocean in front of them, just going on and on. The sound of the waves hitting the shore echoed around them.
There were rescue teams already out there, searching for survivors. But the ocean was big and the waves were rough. Compared to this, they felt very small.
Alicia was looking out at the huge ocean. Her face was white and her heart felt as cold as the cool fall night.
Louis took her cold hand and said, "My rescue team is looking for him. Just wait for good news. He'll be fine."
Even though he said this, he couldn't help but worry.
Alicia looked out at the dark ocean and asked, "Are there any boats left?"
He held her hand tighter and asked, "What are you planning to do?"
"I want to go out and look for him."
