Louis looked upset, picking up a whiskey bottle and pouring more.
Jaheer took the bottle, saying, "I knew it! Why did you fight? Just recently, you almost died trying to get to her, even with your injuries. Now you're drinking away your pain?"
Louis looked down, his voice barely a whisper, "She wants to end things with me."
Jaheer laughed loudly, "No way! Alicia? She's so laid-back. I thought you were the one calling the shots."
Louis kept a straight face, hiding his emotions. "She's not just being stubborn," he admitted, "She's treating me like a stand-in for someone else." His ego couldn't stand the truth.
Jaheer filled a mug with water and pushed it towards Louis, "Drink this. I'm going to make a call."
Worried that Louis might start drinking again, Jaheer took the whiskey bottle with him. He found a quiet spot and called Alicia.
