Dollar bills danced in the air, brushing by Henry's face before falling onto the ground. Throughout his whole life, this was the first time anyone had ever tossed money at him.
Feeling mad and embarrassed, Henry wiped his face and scorned, "Just because you've been on TV a few times and drawn some pictures doesn't make you a big deal. I can't stand people like you, always changing their minds and nagging nonstop. It took you half a year to get a divorce. Once it's done, it should be done, no more back and forth nonsense. It's just sad."
Alicia was about to answer back when a sharp voice from a young woman echoed from behind her.
"Dad, who are you to talk? Mom wanted to divorce you long ago, and guess who was the one clinging on and dragging it out?"
Alicia spun around to see Lilith, whose hands tucked in her pockets, carrying a backpack, and walking toward them.
