Whenever Louis had gotten tipsy before, his reactions were pretty much the same. He thought it was just because he drank too much and followed it up with three glasses of juice. His hand hung under the table, squeezing his leg tightly, as he tried to clear his head.
He leaned towards his assistant and said, "Go downstairs and find me a room. I need to rest a bit and clear my head before I go home."
He knew that if he went home feeling this way, he'd bother Alicia, and she'd have to take care of him. More importantly, when he drank too much, he got needy and really wanted to sleep with her. But now that she was pregnant, things had changed. He couldn't take any chances.
"Sure thing, Mr. Martinez," his assistant replied.
