Frank noticed his wife Bonnie with her phone, tears streaming down her face but not saying a word, which was definitely out of the ordinary. He rushed over, worry in his voice, "Why are you crying after that call? Did someone upset you? Tell me, and I'll set them straight!"
Bonnie, still holding her phone, managed to say, "Honey, you're going to be a great-grandfather. Alicia's expecting!"
Frank was stunned, "What? Alicia's expecting?"
"Yes, she finally is." Bonnie wiped her eyes with the back of her hand.
Even Frank, who rarely showed much emotion, couldn't hide his excitement.
He pinched his tingling nose and sighed, "I knew it! They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. After that car accident three years ago, we received one bad news after another, but he made it through. Three years after marrying Alicia, he was back on his feet. And now they're having a baby. Life has been good to him."
