Listening to 'True colors' by Cyndi Lauper while writing this. I'm not really someone who is good at recommending songs, but while beginning on this chapter there was this song in my mind all the time.
The wind blew Ray's long hair so that the end of it gently touched her face and the rain rain soaked their clothes. His eyes sparkled so brilliantly that moment that Iris could not look any other way. His words resonated inside her head. He thought she was meant for something more, for greatness. Those words woke something inside her, an unknown resolution to find that power and to prove him right, that she was that person he envisioned.
After a long moment, as if just realising what he was doing, he suddenly let go and took a few steps back, hitting the wall behind him. The distance made her feel cold and lonely. She looked at him with questioning eyes.
