Nathaniel sighed and shook his head.
"No, not yet," he said with a heavy heart. He hated the fact that he had to lie to Maya, but it was necessary for his plan.
"Why?" Carlton asked him. Turning his head to look at the old man, Nathaniel couldn't help but frown. It was clear in his eyes how much Carlton cared and loved his granddaughter.
"I find it quite amusing, Grandpa, how your first thought upon learning who I am is if I will tell Maya," he chuckled. "Let's take a seat, you're still not fully recovered."
It was clear to Nathaniel that Carlton wanted to ask more questions, unfortunately, he was also still quite sick.
The attempt on his life was quite serious and he was lucky that Nathaniel manage to get to him on time.
"Alright," the old man said as he let Nathaniel lead him to the couch.
Clark was quick to bring some hot tea for Nathaniel and Carlton to share while Jay took Carlton's other hand to help him to the couch.
