Chapter 33 - The Silent and Empty Departure

The maid glided into the room, her steps light and graceful. With a slight bow of her head, she conveyed that it was time for preparation. Raiver rose from his seat, planted a tender kiss on Naria's cheek, donned his regal robe, and departed.

Now, Naria found herself alone with the maid. The servant's voice was hushed and reverent as she addressed the princess. "Princess, may I be of assistance in your preparations?" Her head remained bowed in deference.

Naria mustered a polite smile, concealing her internal turmoil and the bewildering adjustments to her newfound life. "I would be grateful for your help," she replied, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Please, follow me," the maid said, her words barely above a whisper.

As Naria trailed behind the maid, they entered another room adorned with opulence. Nestled next to a grand mirror, twice her size, Naria took her seat. The mirror, resplendent in gold, shimmered in the room's gentle light.
