After explaining everything that transpired in the forest that night to Darfin and his group of hunter elves, Vespera noticed something wrong with Salamandra's corpse.
Normally, beasts with large amounts of demonic energy would disintegrate after dying, so it was strange that the process hadn't started by that point.
When Vespera inspected the headless body closer, she said that it was as if all of the blood had been sucked out of his body.
"Did Drakzen do that?" I pondered aloud.
"I'm not sure how he would accomplish something like this so quickly…" my companion replied.
Vespera elaborated further and said that the catalyst for disintegrating the demonic beasts' bodies was their blood, which would boil and consume them whenever they died.
Since Salamandra's corpse had been sucked dry, Vespera did him the favor and cremated his body with magic.
