Katherine opened the door to her room, she walked in to be followed by the lord. " Uhm Evelyn is a nice person, she is pretty and a good character. " She said out of nowhere not knowing why she was saying that.
" Not as beautiful as you are." She heard him from her back. She didn't take any meaning to his words and picked up a wrapped small piece of box.
She turned to face him with the box and she saw the down look gave at the small piece. " Mr. Donovan, I know my gift isn't as worthy or valuable like the elite people who gifted you but it really took me a time to make them. " she had bought a black wool from one of the shops and had made him a glove. " I this is truly from my heart to you." she handed him the gift. Her eyes fell on the rich looking leather black glove he was putting on and her heart hitched.
" I will accept anything you offer don't panic girl. " He said when he heard her heart beating stop. He unwrapped the gift to see a woolly black gloves. They were local and would be hairy very soon. it quality was cheaper to a peasant gloves. He grinned. " Your hands are cold aren't they? " he asked out of nowhere. Katherine could tell from the question he wanted to return the gloves to her.
" I won't say they are nice truthfully but from you I will have them my innocent looking girl. " He completed his words and Katherine thumping heart went back to beat the same.

" Your hand girl? " He said and she hesitately brought up her hand. He took her wrist putting it to the length of his nose.

" I can't hear you? " She winced and as quickly pulled off her hand.
" I said nothing. " He took his hand to swept back his hair and his Adam throat moved.
" Could you give Evelyn a time with you. " Katherine said as they faced each other.
" And why is that? " He bent to have his head same level as her.
" Evelyn is in love with you. " Katherine said unsure if she was supposed to say that. The man did not saying a word which made her really uncomfortable.
" She is a mere peasant from Enruben, an orphan. What will I certainly gain from being with her, she has no alley simply nothing and lastly I will give no attention to her." He said, there was slight red that passed his eyes and then his hair floated, dishevelling. The window was suddenly knocked open by the wind.
Katherine felt turmoil grip her tummy so she turn around immediately to lock the windows. She gripped the window pane but each time she tried to lock the window, her hair got in the way of her face. As she tried and tried to remove the hair. She saw a hand above her which took the window pane before locking. " Thank you. " Katherine slowly turned to move away but he stood there.
'' I will-" she paused with wide eyes and head pulled back. Sirius face was all of a sudden leaned to her face. " Milord what are you doing. " Katherine flinched when she felt the Lord's hand slid into the slit beneath her dress as it lay on her thigh.
The young girl was looking quite palatable and ripen in front of him. Even with her beautiful curvaceous body she gone and wore red. Days later after that night, things in the mansion continued to go as it use to with the difference of Sirius not meeting with Katherine. Mrs Aubrey was fed up one day felt her son was lying to her about accepting to be married and giving him a grandson, one afternoon.
'' You didn't choose from any of the woman I got for you!!'' She said her mood foul which made her voice raised at him. Sylvia walked down enjoying the show as she knew his brother was no where settling with a soul. Katherine stood there behind Mrs Aubrey with her head down.
'' isn't it obvious mother I don't like any of them." He shot back.
" But I got you introduce to a whole heap of women and you tell me you like non, I refuse to believe you!!"
" To a whole heap of women then I think you must be missing an important one. " He said sweeping back his hair in irritation. Mrs Aubrey fanned herself with her hand. " Katherine get me a handfan and use on me this instant now!!"she said.
" And who is that. '' Mrs Aubrey asked curiousity minted with upset. She tried to wrap her head around to know who she missed, she had made sure to announce among the maidens in the town about the selection of bride and all her friends with daughters, who the hell did she missed.
" Katherine " She saw her son mouth move to utter that familiar name and she knew it couldn't be the one she was thinking, but the daughter of the duke who simply came but wasn't chosen at all. " She is the one I will marry. "
" Why didn't you say it earlier. " Mrs Aubrey scoffed, breathing out in relieve.
" Your maid I mean." He said next.
Aubrey stiffened, her face fallen at her son words. She was beyond shocked, was his son just playing a prank at her perhaps. she never saw any affection between them, there was nothing. She staggered almost falling at her backside.
" Mother take a grip on yourself brother jokes a lot I wonder when he started adding the maid in the topic. " Sylvia calmly held her mother knowing Sirius was just joking.
Aubrey shook her head mustering the courage she spoke. " stop that now, it doesn't sound funny, we are discussing of the woman you will be marrying. "
" You missed introducing your maid to me, I won't get married if not to her. " He slightly courtesied, flipping his watch from his pocket he walked away.
Sylvia worriedly took her mother to the seat, that moment Katherine arrived in the room with a handfan, she began fanning the lady who was seated with her daughter worriedly but she dared not to ask especially when she felt a glare Coming from the lady.
" Stop right there!! '' Mrs Aubrey ordered her and she adhered, when she moved to walk behind her, her mistress called. '' Katherine did I ever treat you wrong'' she said and Katherine quickly shook her head.
'' Madam you have always treated me well. '' she said confused at the woman words and face expression. she wondered if Mrs Aubrey was still angry at his son.
'' Is there anything going on between you and the Lord." The woman asked making her heartbeat hitch.
" What! no madam there is absolutely nothing. " she said.
" Then why did your heart stop beating now, you lie!! You have been seeing the lord behind my back don't you!! Tell me what did you two did behind my back" Mrs Aubrey walked to stand in front of her. Her eyes red in anger. Katherine shivered, trembled and shook in fear, she was going to die but this soon, this was a vampire.
" Speak this instant or!!"
"Madam there is absolutely nothing you can ask the lord." She wasn't good at revealing someone secret. She was to keep the blood thing between them a secret as it would demean him to the public eyes.
" Then why does he want to marry you!!. " she shouted and Katherine froze not wanting to believe the woman words. The lord wanting to marry her, it wasn't true, the lord will never say that even if it's true he knew quite well she wanted to marry Aaron.
