It would be a lie to say that Valerie was not frightened by Stella's words. She didn't believe Stella would ever raise her voice at her after all the earlier threats. She was even more horrified by the thought of getting her father involved. It simply meant game over for her and bye-bye to Adrian.
'No, I can't let that happen. I will be the laughingstock of the city if Adrian chooses to get back with Sonia or anyone else. Never! I will never let that happen! I will have to be more tolerant with this tramp until I get what I want from her.'
Valerie took in a deep breath and pushed down her fears before responding to Stella's arrogance.
"I wouldn't have scattered your room if you hadn't gotten me upset by denying me assess to the bathroom. It was all your fault that I lost it." Valerie's attempt at defending her foolishness and childishness almost made a furious Stella crack up with laughter.
