'Who starts by asking someone; what is your mother's name, for goodness sake? Is this man out to spook me or is he just trying to be mysterious?' Stella pondered as she carefully searched her brain for the best way to answer Alex's father's question without giving room for any form of suspicion.
'What happened to questions like; Who are you? Where are you from? What do you do for a living? What make you stand out? Or even what business do you have with my son?'
Stella hissed inwardly as she took a sip of her glass of water and coughed out the first name that came to her mind.
"Anastasia. My mother's name is Anastasia... Peterson."
"Wow, your mum has a very beautiful name." A smile danced at the corner of Alex's lips as he stared at Stella.
"Thank you," Stella returned the smile and did her best to totally avoid looking in the direction of Greg Silk.
Unfortunately for Stella, Greg Silk was just warming up with his questions.
