"Get out of my house this instant you ungrateful child." Mina struck Adrian on the cheek for the fourth time.
"Get out before I have you beaten up."
Catherina and her children stood up and ran over to Adrian to stop Mina from disfiguring his face.
"You dare talk to me and my husband with so much impunity? You dare hit a woman after all we have taught you. I'm going to use you as a scapegoat so that no member of this family will ever challenge me next time."
Tears rolled out of Adrian's reddened eyes as she stared at his grandmother with a mixture of anger and hurt.
