"Adrian, I'm sure you have something to say to your grandma and mum?" George said in a calm, fatherly tone.
"Yes, I do," Adrian replied as he rose to his feet. He stared long and hard at his grandma as if he were communicating with her through telepathic means.
"Mina, you will forever remain an idol to me. I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart. I could never find anyone as amazing, motherly and wise as you. I have never done anything in the past to contradict you. I've always lived my life to please this family and I do not regret it. So I'm going to say this to you, Mina. I am truly sorry for hurting you or Grandpa. It's so unfortunate that things are happening this way but I believe that they are for good reasons."
Mina chuckled bitterly to herself as she could sense where Adrian's resolution was tilting. She lowered her head and shook it from side to side but didn't say anything.
