Back at the KBC company studio, Abigail replied to Mrs Shawl's question in a contemptuous tone.
"Blackmail!"
Abigail's words and expressions were laced with so much ire and regret.
"Valerie knew I was faking my identity. So she craftily used it to blackmail me. She almost succeeded but all her plans backfired. In the process of her scheming, she attempted to kill me but failed miserably. I even heard from a reliable source that she succeeded in assassinating her cousin."
"I heard that murder incident... The name was Lucas Felan, right?"
"Yes."
"What makes you think Valerie was responsible for the debt? The family hasn't said who killed him." Mrs Shawl asked.
