Abigail was greatly broken by the way her mum had greatly changed over the space of one year and some weeks. She recalled how beautiful, younger and healthier her mum was before she ran away. However, the woman on the television was like her mum's elder sister, who was passing through a difficult stage in life.
Unable to hold back her emotions, Abigail turned around and threw her arms around Alex, crying on his shoulder.
"Can I please talk to her?" Abigail asked between sobs.
Alex tried his best to soothe her. He led her back to her initial seat and made her sit down.
"Sweetheart, as much as I would love to grant your wish, I'm afraid you can't do that right now. It is not safe either for you or your mum to reconnect at the moment. Until Valentino is behind bars or dead, you can't see your mum."
