Having sobered up and temporarily settled their differences, Adrian and Alex decided to wow Abigail with a little surprise.
When they both arrived at the hospital, they were informed by the nurse that Abigail was asleep.
"Splendid!" Adrian's relaxed gaze shimmered with excitement and longing. "This will give us enough time to set up a surprise."
"Sure!" Alex replied masking his hidden emotion with a straight expression.
With the help of some florists, who were detailed and extremely quiet in their arrangement, Abigail's ward was transformed into a little paradise.
The ward was decorated with flowers, balloons, gift boxes, and a big sign that said, 'ABIGAIL, WE LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT.'
When Abigail finally woke up, her nostrils were greeted by the fresh and breathtaking fragrance of nature, mixed with a touch of yummy freshly baked pie.
