"What about Abigail?" Adrian replied with a question while looking at Alex's hand disdainfully.
Alex ignored Adrian's contemptuous look and waited patiently for Adrian to take his hand of fellowship.
"Just like Doctor Sanchez said, Abigail needs the both of us. Whatever we decide to do from now on should be in her best interest. We just have to learn to tolerate one another for her sake. In the meantime, I'm willing to share until she makes her final choice."
Adrian rose to his feet, staggering a little as he took Alex's hand while gazing at him frostily. "What if she chooses me over you? What if she gets intimate with me just as she did to you? What if she ends up falling for me instead of you? Would you be able to live with that guilt for the rest of your life?"
