"What the hell!" Adrian flung Abigail's hand away from his as he abruptly stood up and gave her a good distance. He stared at Abigail sizing her up from head to toe as if she was a total stranger.
"You are ValValerie'sepsister? That can't be possible. Stella, please, tell me this is an expensive joke because I'm not finding it funny."
Abigail was already feeling stung by Adrian's reaction. She tried to put up a tough front even though she was gradually losing grip of herself inwardly.
"It's not a joke. My real name is Abigail, not Stella."
Adrian started laughing as though he just inhaled laughing gas. But the laugh didn't go beyond his throat. His eyes were filled with so much bitterness as he slowly walked back to Abigail's bed, staring down at her in contempt.
"If you are Valentina's stepdaughter, then what the hell were you doing in my grandfather's vineyard in Rosaltan Ville?"
