"What did you just say?" Stella removed her hands from Adrian's hold.
Seeing Stella's sudden reaction, Adrian instantly knew that he had just made a mistake spying on her.

"You've been watching and listening to my conversation with my friend?" Stella didn't bother to hide her disgust as she rose to her feet and glowered at him. "That's totally wrong and unacceptable Adrian. I may be under your roof but I think I deserve a little bit of privacy or am I not welcome here? Did you bring me here to monitor and spy on me?"
"No, baby! I didn't mean to. I'm sorry." Adrian also rose to his feet and tried to place his hand on Stella's shoulder. But she avoided his touch and folded her hand across her chest.
