Valerie slowly walked up to her stepmother and sized her up scornfully.
"I can see you're making yourself quite useful since my dad traveled. But what I fail to understand is why a low-life housemaid like yourself will choose to wear such expensive clothes that her poor brain can never afford in a lifetime." Valerie sneered.
"Valerie...," Matilda put down her hands and the smile faded from her face. "I am your mother and that was rude..."
"Shut it!" Valerie spat out as she came face to face with Matilda. "You can never be my mother in this life or the next you repulsive slut.
