Wanday stood by the walls with Muney as they spoke about the past when things used to be simple. They laughed together and remembered all they used to do together in the south. The king of Mount city looked at them and he admired the connection between the two of them. As they stood they noticed the dragons flying in the skies and a large army marching towards them. Wanday smiled and she called out to Andrew to see the troops marching towards the capital. They had gotten the northerners to join them in the war and Wanday was excited to see her sister return home. They all ran towards the gates to meet the warriors and Sharay. Wanday rushed and hugged Tafuh and the other warriors. Andrew noticed Sharay wasn't present and he asked, "Where is Sharay?" Tafuh looked at the young king and Wanday before she replied. She saw Muney so she rushed and hugged him. "Welcome Muney. Thank you for coming." She said. Wanday walked up to Tafuh and asked, "Where is my sister Tafuh?" Tafuh bowed down to the queen and replied. "I have let you down my queen but she insisted on going alone. She left for the valley of the gods with the captains from the north." Andrew's eyes widened and he asked. "Why would she want to go there? No one has set foot there and came back alive. The fallen gods will try and harvest her powers to free themselves from the spell cast to imprison them in those grounds." He was worried and afraid Sharay would not return. Wanday held herself tightly. "How did Sharay find out about the valley of the gods. I had no idea that place existed." Wanday told them. She was surprised her sister knew of a place that she had never seen in her visions or been told of by Ammara. "She must have seen it when she was in the river. The river must have showed it to her." Andrew replied the queen. They all stood there speechless and not knowing what to do. They walked outside the city to welcome the northern warriors who had come to join them in their war. They all bowed down towards the queen but Wanday bowed down towards them and said. "We bow to you my friends. We thank you for the help you have come to offer us" She smiled trying to hide her fears for her sister. She turned and walked away from the people. Andrew spoke to the northerners and ordered they be given wine and food. He had seen the fear in Wanday's eyes so he held her hand tight and she held his tighter. Muney saw how the king and Wanday understood more of this world more than him and he wanted to learn more of it too. They walked quietly back to the palace and as they sat around the table they all worried about Sharay. For the first time the three sisters were facing a danger that didn't involve them trying to kill each other for Agasah. They all feared for Agasah and these threats were real and they would destroy them if they failed to stand and fight. Wanday paced up and down the throne room trying to find a solution to her problem. She turned and said. "Andrew I need to go to the river. I need to see whether my sister is safe or not?" Andrew nodded his head and asked Muney to accompany them to the mountain. The trio left the palace for the river as the northern warriors drank wine, ate meat and danced.
Wanday walked up to the mountain with King Andrew quietly. Her sister journeyed to the valley of the gods with three strangers she had just met and this worried her. She had to warn her sister before she reached the valley of the gods little did she know ther sister had already arrived at the valley of the gods. She blamed Tafuh for being careless and letting her sister wander off with strangers. She didn't trust the northerners because they were known to serve no queen. How would they just follow a person who was proclaimed a queen when they had not believed in the system of rulers but of union among themselves. She got to the river in the mountain and Andrew walked to the altar were he lit the holy fire. He left the young queen alone and sat outside the cave waitng anxiously for the queen to come out after her ritual. Wanday removed her clothes, walked into the river and sat at the bottom of the river. She prayed in an ancient language and the river made a whirlwind around her sweeping her away from the real world. She stood in in the Agasian tower built by Diablo and she walked to the window in the throne room. She had never seen a vision of the tower before and as she walked she marveled at the art that Amandla had made when painting the thorne room walls. She continued walking to the window and she saw smoke and fire everywhere. She saw people running, children screaming and lifeless bodies everywhere. Agasah was on fire and she felt fear in her heart. Wanday stood away from the window and she ran out of the throne room to the gardens where they laid other lifeless bodies. They were not only Agasians but also the valoyees, the northerners, the southerners and the warriors of mount city. She gasped and fell to the ground. She stumbled upon a dead woman and it was her mother, she had been brutally murdered and she cried as she crawled away from her lifeless body. She went to the edge of the wall and saw her sisters captured. They were walking like slaves, chained with their magic contained in the chains. She held her stomach n felt pain pierce through every part of her body. She slowly walked down the stairs dragging her feet, with tears filling her eyes. She saw a man of great stature standing next to a very beautiful woman who held his hand. She smiled and wore the crown of a queen. She was neither Agasian nor was she from the valoyee people. She was queen of Agasah and she was going to ruin everything. Wanday looked at the woman and she stared back at her smiling. It was as if she could see her and this terrified Wanday. She woke up drowning in the river failing to swim, Andrew held her hand and pulled her out of the river. She cried and held tightly to him. She was terrified and he had never seen her like this before. She wept in so much pain and held on to Andrew. He held and comforted the young queen and she slept in his arms. He carried her back to the city and was met by guards who took her from him. Muney ran to him worried and Andrew looked at him with same worried look on his face. "Whatever she saw in the mountain is not good Muney. I have never seen her that afraid before." Andrew told Muney. The both walked towards Wanday's chambers and they met Tafuh at the entrance. She bowed to them and said." I should not have left the queen in the north. If anything happens to her I will never forgive myself." Andrew held Tafuh on the shoulder and replied. "We both know it is not your fault. When Sharay's has made up her mind there is not changing it. Muney you should stay with her." Andrew and Tafuh left Muney alone with Wanday.
The three northern captains journeyed to Mount city alone. They couldn't help but wonder what was happening to Sharay back in the valley of gods. They resorted to running back to Mount city so they could get help from the people before it was too late. They carried the weapons and ran throughout the day without stopping. Their hard training was paying off as it helped them endure hunger and thirst. It had been a day since they left the valley of gods and they intended to make it to Mount city in three. They slept for a few hours and ate in a hurry. They had to get back to the city in a day. "If only we could fly back to the city then we could get help earlier." Natay told her other captains. "You would think the gods would actually assist us since it is to save their precious queen." The other captain mocked. They all laughed and walked towards the river. They dropped the weapons and knelt down to drink water and wash their faces. The three captains had gone through worse before and survived but they felt only the people of Agasah would understand what needed to be done to save Sharay. As one of the captains rose his head he saw horses right across them. They were black in color and they were three of them. He tapped the other captain who also saw the horses and he fell on the ground. Natay laughed and she teased the captain. "I guess the gods did give us horses to help their precious queen." She stood up, grabbed her sack of weapons and walked into the river. "Natay stop! We don't know if they are ours or someone lost them. The other captain warned her. She laughed and replied. "These are deep woods no one lives here. The gods gave them to us. Let us go and stop wasting time!" the other captains hesitated but eventually crossed and they all rode the horses. When they were about to leave Natay saw a woman in white standing across the river looking at them. She was beautiful, gentle and wore the same necklace as Sharay wore. Natay knew then that this woman had granted these horses to them but she couldn't tell who this woman was. She smiled at the woman and thanked her in her heart. The woman smiled and replied back. "We thank you my young captain." Natay smiled and the other captains just looked at her as if she was insane. They rode the horses heading to the west for Mount city but Natay turned and rode back to the valley of gods. The other captains stopped and she shouted. "Go and get help I will be fine! They captains rode in the other direction, with horses they could make it the next day to the city and get help. They were now determined about getting help and they hoped Natay would get back to the valley in time and safely to help the queen.
Back in the valley of gods Sharay was lost in a whirl wind and taken to the depths of the earth. She battled against the shadows of the fallen gods and she fell in the caves of the valley and there the shadows were waiting. They stood surrounding her and she drew her sword out preparing to fight. "You can't defeat us Sharay of Agasah! We were born gods and we are not mere mythical beins like you." They boasted to her. Sharay held her sword tighter and replied. "I am not a mere mythical being either. You are not gods but shadwos that roam the valley." This angered the shadows and they drew their swords to attack Sharay. The young queen also struck back at the shadows, she fought with them and struck them with her golden sword. As she held the sword tighter and slew the shadows it glowed with fire and made a light in the cave. Her eyes became blue and her hair became whiter. She struck the shadows all night until it was dawn. She didn't stop even when she was tired. One of the shadows she fought was relentless and kept on fighting her. Sharay focused on the shadow and as she fought one othe shadows came and stabbed her in the back. She screamed in pain, turned and struck the shadow dead. She fell to the ground and coughed up blood. Wanday was in a deep sleep when her sister was stabbed she screamed in her dreams. Amandla held the crystal of life and she saw a great fire burning Agasah in that moment and she fell to the ground losing consciousness. Sharay held her sword and stood up to continue fighting the last shadow. Amandla kept mumbling in her sleep on the floor so did Wanday. Sharay stood up and she fought the shadow and when she was about to fall she closed her eyes and she drew her sword into the shadow's heart killing it. She fell to the ground and also lost consciousness. She fell in a deep sleep and her blood spilt on the ground sank in the ground. Her magic filled the caves and there was a great earthquake in the valley. The spirits would require her death to be free.
Harunah walked into the chambers of her daughter and found her mumbling in her sleep on the floor. She ran and held her in her arms as she tried to wake her up but she heard the ancient prayer n stopped. She held her child and listened to the prayer she kept saying and realized it was the ancient prayer they did when they served the gods in the heavens to keep the fallen gods locked up in their prison. She wondered why her daughter kept mumbling that prayer and who she was trying to protect. In Mount city Wanday also mumbled the same prayer and Muney called out for Andrew and Tafuh to see this. Tafuh understood the prayer and she said. "This is an ancient prayer to keep the fallen gods locked up in their prison. Why is the queen mumbling it she doesn't even know of the prayer." They all looked at each other with so much fear. Sharay woke up from her sleep and she dragged herself from the place she leaned towards the light. She noticed her blood wasn't flowing but sinking in the ground and she knew this wasn't good. She dragged herself and she heard her sister's voice praying. She also heard another voice and she realized it was Amandla's but she didn't know why she would be praying for her. She dragged her body toward the light and as she got closer she closed her eyes and slept. She couldn't feel her body anymore, she had lost a lot of blood and she was about to die. The sun turned red and the river began turning red. Andrew looked at sun and river. He trembled and Muney saw the fear in his eyes. "It's Sharay, she is dying and if she dies in the valley of gods the fallen gods will be freed. They require magic to be raised. " he said in fear. Harunah saw the sun and knew Sharay was in the valley of gods, but she did not understand why Amandla would protect Sharay when she hated her so much. Was there a connection between her two children when they didn't even share the same blood. She kept holding her daughter tight as she prayed for the other one who was about to lose her life and unleash a greater evil. Sharay felt life leave her body and she just lay there. "Sharay! Lord have mercy Sharay, what happened to you?" She could hear a faint voice calling out for her. Natay got to the valley of kings in time and found the young queen. She carried her and put her on her horse and rode out of the valley. She rode out before more shadows came and she when she had left the valley she carefully placed the queen on the ground. Natay opened the cloth the young queen wore and she saw how deep the wound was. She had treated many wounds so she knew the ingredients she needed to treat this wound so the young queen would pull through until help came. She ran into the forest and grabbed a few herbs and roots. She came back and knelt besides the queen and applied the paste on the wound to stop it from bleeding. She mixed some herbs, held the queen's head tilted, drank the herbs and spit it in the queen's mouth. She did this three times so the queen would gain a little strength. She took off her mantle and wrapped the young queen with it. Natay left and went to fetch wood to light up a fire. The sun began to light up and the river stopped changing into red. Amandla woke up from her deep sleep and her mother held her tight. She was not aware of what had just happened but she was grateful to see her mother holding her so she held her back too. Wanday woke up from the sleep and ran out of her chambers towards the gate. Andrew tried to stop her but she replied, "The captains from the north are here!"
The captains from the north reached the gates and the guards opened the gates for them. Wanday ran towards the captains with Muney, Andrew and Tafuh. The captains got off their horses and bowed down to the young queen. Wanday ran to them and rose them up. "Where is my sister? I thought you were three captains where is the other?" She asked them. The other captain stood up and replied. "She saved us from the shadows in the valley of gods but she disappeared in the whirlwind. Natay returned to the valley with another horse to find the queen but she asked us to come get help from you." Tafuh walked up towards the captains and asked. "How did you get here so quickly captains?" One of them cleared his throat and replied. "We didn't stop until we got here. We thought the life of the queen depends on us." Andrew ordered they be taken in to rest as he and Tafuh would fly to the valley of gods to get the queen. "I should come with you. It seems she is hurt because the water still hasn't cleared." Wanday told them. They all left for the dragons and they flew to the valley of kings to find the young queen. Muney took the captains in to rest and he went and stood by the wall waiting for the return of the young queens. Tafuh, Andrew and Wanday flew towards the direction of the valley of the gods. They were looking for anything that would be Sharay and the captains. They all feared the worst but hoped for the best. As they flew in that direction the sun began to set in the west. They knew they could not do anything at night therefore had to rest. They landed and rested in the forest. They didn't speak to each other as worry filled their hearts. Wanday could not lose her sister and she feared what would happen to their realm. She had not told anyone of the vision she had seen in the river and Andrew had been too worried about Sharay to ask her about her vision. She could not even close her eyes because she feared she would have the same vision again. She didn't want anyone to ask her about the vision she had so she curled herself up n kept silent. Amandla had not said a word to her mother since she woke up, she sat by her window alone and her mother came to check on her. She brought her food and wine when she found her sitting by the window. Harunah quietly placed the tray with the food on the table and walked to her. she held Amandla's shoulder and she held her mother's hand back. "I saw Sharay dying in the valley of gods. I could not stop myself from doing the prayer, it was like something had taken over me." Amandla told her mother quietly. Harunah didn't reply she kept looking at her daughter. "There is a storm coming mother and it will wipe us all. I could feel it when I did that prayer. I saw many people dead and Agasah burning." She paused, tears filled her eyes and she looked up at her mother who looked back at her. Amandla could see that her mother was just clueless as she was too and they both were afraid. "I don't know what to do mother, I need to protect my people." She added on. Harunah had never seen this side to her daughter. She wanted to protect her people but she was too afraid to tell Amandla about her suspicions of Miranda so she just held her child tightly. Harunah still feared the worst for Sharay, she knew her daughter was a fighter but she didn't know if she could hold on if no help was sent. However Sharay was doing just fine with the help of Natay. She had been treated and she kept on giving her the herb mixture to drink. She woke up feeling weak and saw Natay sitting next to the fire."I told you not to look back, why did you come back Natay?" She asked quietly. Natay saw the young queen trying to get up and she ran to assist her. She slowly walked her to the fire and sat her down. "You would have died if I had not come back for you." Natay replied smiling. Sharay coughed and replied. "You could have died back there and your people would never forgive me." Natay put more firewood into the fire and she sat the smiling. " I saw a woman wearing a white gown and the same necklace as yours but hers was bigger. She gave us the horses and thanked. I knew then I couldn't go without you so I came back and asked the other captains to go and get help." She told the oung queen who looked at her. "You saw Nadine she is my mother and my anchor. She must have known I would die in the caves so she needed you to save me." Sharay told her. Natay stood and she made a place for Sharay to sleep next to the fire. "Sleep you need to rest we have a long way to go as soon as its morning.
When morning came Natay had put the young queen on the horse and began her journey to Mount city. She moved slowly so she could not wake the weak queen and she hoped that help would be sent to them sooner because she didn't know if the queen's health was going to improve or worsen. Wanday, Tafuh and Andrew flew in the morning hoping they would find Natay and Sharay. They all knew Sharay was hurt but was alive. They feard more for Natay's life and knew this would affect their newly found relationship with the northerners. They hoped both women were alive. They noticed a smoke not far from were they flew and Wanday flew towards the direction of the fire. Natay saw the dragons from a distance and she stopped the horse and ran in a clear space waving her hands in all direction so they could see her. She called out for them and Andrew noticed her. "Wanday I see her. She is waving to us." He told Wanday. They all flew towards Natay and she ran back to the horse and whispered to Sharay. "They found us Sharay." She had grown fond of the young queen and she was overjoyed help had come in time. Wanday ran towards her sister and Natay. She was delighted to see her alive and when she got to the horse she slowly got her off the horse with the help of Andrew. "Sharay! Can you hear me?" She asked her sister as she held her in her arms. She had tears of relief in her eyes and she held her so tightly. Andrew held out his hand to Natay and said. "You risked your life for hers and I am grateful captain. I am Andrew of Mount city." She smiled at him and just nodded. She thought he was the most handsome man she had ever seen. He had a great stature and he was a king who was as kind as he was handsome. Tafuh hugged Natay and thanked her. Wanday opened her sister's clothes and saw the wound dressed. She looked at Natay and said. "She lost a lot of blood and would have died if you had not been there. How did you know how to treat a wound?" Natay replied, "I am a warrior and I take care of my warriors but my mother was a healer." Wanday smiled and thanked the captain. Andrew carried Sharay to his dragon. They all left for Mount city.
