Chapter 5 - Chapter 3

Wanday had a dream of a woman sitting in a dungeon calling her to protect her heart. This woman wept and prayed in a strange tongue. She looked at her and her eyes filled with tears. She knelt in front of Wanday n bowed down calling her majesty. She asked her to guide and protect Sharay. Wanday had been having visions and dreams since she was young. She had seen things she didn't understand and often saw her sister and herself sitting on a throne in Agasah. She would oftenly tell her mother and sister but Sharay would tease her about it. "Mother! Sharay! I had a dream and in this dream there was a woman who called me majesty! She prayed facing the east.", she told her family. Sharay laughed very loudly and said to her sister, "First you dream of marrying Muney now you dreaming of being a queen?" Wanday was hurt by her sister and she ran outside. Nadine looked at Sharay in disbelief, "Mother what? She is such a child.", Sharay protested. Nadine replied her daughter, "Go and apologise to your sister or you will not go hunting with the men." Sharay shrugged her shoulders and followed her sister to apologise. She found her sitting on the rock and said, "I am truly sorry Wanday. I just don't understand your dreams of us being queens, the tower. richest city and people calling us to help them." Wanday looked at her sister and she replied, "I don't understand them too because the only place that has a tower is Agasah in the south and it's a land of the valoyees." Sharay widened her eyes in shock. She didn't read much so she didn't know of the great tower. "Are you sure there is a place like that in the south Wanday?" Wanday nodded her head in agreement. Sharay had always wanted to go to the south after the stories she had been told and now she had hope. She was going to go and see the great tower. "On our eighteenth birthday I shall go and get you a beautiful gift from Agasah, something with a little gold and diamonds Wanday. I will hunt and sell meet so I get you this gift.", Sharay told her sister. Wanday could not understand her sister, she was a total stranger to her most times so she just smiled and walked back home. "Agasah! I will come next moon.", Sharay thought to herself.

Sharay sneaked out the house and took at the white horse the chief had given her to raise. She was going to Agasah to get her sister the gift she had vowed to get her. She rode across the mountains and past the cities. Her heart was being called to Agasah and she was going to see this great city. Nadine woke up early in preparation of the girls birthday celebration, she noticed that one of her daughters had left and she assumed she had gone to hunt a buck for her sister as she always did every year. Nadine went on with her chores and Wanday woke up and helped her mother. Sharay rode till it was dark and she rested her horse and fed it with straw. As the sun began to set she gathered firewood and made a fire. Nadine and the other became worried when them men came back from hunting and there was no sign of Sharay. "Where is Sharay? Muney?", Nadine asked the chief's son. Muney hadn't seen her since last night and he just stood there not knowing what to say. Nadine held her stomach and fell to the ground with so much worry. The villagers helped her up and promised to look for her. "You know Sharay loves adventures, she is probably in the mountains and she will be back.", the village women tried to convince Nadine. She knew her daughter would never have been absent on this day since she knew what it meant to her sister. Wanday held her mother and comforted her. Sharay stay next to the fire wondering how it was going to be in Agasah. She sat close to the river and she watched it as the water flowed down to the south. It was as if the river was calling out to her, she stood and went to the stream, undressed herself and she swam to the lower part of the river. She sat deep in the waters and listened to the voices in the water. It was as if the river spoke to her, she could feel the river in her veins as if it lived in her and her in it. For the first time ever Sharay felt as if inside of her there was something that beat. She left the river and sat closer to the fire not knowing what had just happened.

"Mother! Mother! I had another dream!", Wanday called out to her mother in the morning. She ran outside to find her mother looking to the forest filled with so much worry about where Sharay would be. She walked slowly up to her mother and whispered, "She will be fine mother. She is a warrior." Her mother held her hands and smiled at her with her eyes filled with tears. Had she just lost one of the queens? She wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she had lost her. besides she was the salvation of Agasah. "You said you had another dream child?", she hesistantly asked her daughter. Wanday nodded and said, "Yes mother. It was Sharay she sat in a river that was flowing down south, she was happy and the river spoke to her. Sharay met this beautiful woman from the south and she held her and cried." Nadine sighed and fell to the ground. Wanday helped her mother up and she was filled with so much fear. "Mother? Are you okay?", Wanday asked her mother. She held her daughter's hand tightly and asked, "Have you ever mentioned the dream of the great city to your sister?". Wanday nodded in agreement and Nadine trembled in fear. "Mother? You are trembling, let me call the chief's wife or the aunts.", she said to her mother as she rose to go get help but her mother pulled her back. She held her child's hand so tight and fear gripped her she couldn't control her sobbing. "Sit Wanday. I need to speak with you.", she told her daughter. Wanday had never seen her mother like that and it scared her. "Now listen and you listen carefully. Your sister can not go to Agasah, you will have to go with one of the aunts and stop her. Bring her back before she reaches there. When you come back with her then I will explain why she can not go there now.", she explained to her daughter. Wanday sat there quietly and she said to her mother, "Is it because we are the queens of Agasah and Diablo took our land from us?" Nadine opened her eyes wide open in awe. "How do you know this?", she asked her child. Wanday smiled and replied, " I have been having dreams of the past, present and future. I am linked to Ammara the medium and vision she has I too have. I know Sharay is the queen warrior meant to protect us and I am the queen seer." Nadine held her daughter in her arms with so much love and she cried as she called out, "Oh your highness! My queen! My majesty!"
