Chapter 10 - Chapter 8

Ammara sat in her cell looking to the heavens through the tiny little window that was left for her. She had felt the great magic of the golden sword in the hands of Sharay and she knew the queens had got to the sword before Amandla and Arub. She didn't know that however they had an encounter and now Arub knew the extent of both the sister's powers. She heard faint footsteps from behind her and she kept looking at the heavens. The dungeon door was opened and Harunah stood behind her. Harunah walked slowly towards Ammara and held her from behind, tear filled Ammara's eyes because she had not seen the empress for almost twenty years now. Harunah silently wept as she embraced her old friend from behind. "It has begun now Harunah!", Ammara told her as she continued facing the heavens with tears rolling down her cheeks. Harunah sat there silent as she continued to hold her friend in her arms. "We have to be strong now, the queens will have a very difficult journey ahead of them.", Ammara added on. Harunah turned Ammara to face her and she said, "There is more to what you are telling me. What are you trying to hide from me that you don't even look at me?" Ammara looked at the empress with so much fear in her eyes, held her hands and replied, "Things have changed and we have a third queen now. Amandla has fallen into the darkness and she has been ordained as a queen by the dark spirits." Harunah shook with fear and she asked Ammara, "I thought you can only be ordained by the dark spirits if innocent blood of only Agasian people was spilt?" Ammara looked at the empress and she realized from that look that Amandla and Arub had spilt innocent blood. She stood up and paced up and down Ammara's dungeon cell. She turned and asked Ammara, "How is it the fate has changed? I thought it was Diablo they were supposed to face not Amandla. How did she become a queen anyway?" She was terrified for both her daughters and her people, they had been in slavery for far too long and she wanted them freed. "She became your child and they became Nadine's children. Fate changed when we switched them but I just didn't realize it and I humbly apoligise.", she told her empress. She felt she had let her empress and the people of Agasah down. Harunah ran and held Ammara's hands, "How could you have known? The gods must have planned it this way. My people have suffered long enough and I just cant continue to sit and watch.", she told her friend. However they both knew there wasn't anything she could do. This was the queens' battle and they had to fight and win it themselves without anyone. The thing she feared most was that she didn't know if her daughters would win or Amandla would finally destroy the little that was left of her people. She embraced her old friend and left the dungeons. She walked slowly back up to her room. She looked out through her window and she saw how her people were still suffering. They were still slaves, building the glorious city that Diablo wanted. She had always been positive and had never given up hope thinking that her daughters would free them and now they were not certain if they would ever be free of slavery. She fell to the ground and broke down in tears. Had the gods abandoned her? Why had they left them to such a fate? She had no choice but to just wait and see what would happen to her people.

Amandla and Arub flew back to the city and they both were furious about their defeat. Amandla wanted Arub to build her an unstoppable army that would destroy the two sisters for good. She wanted to rule all the three realms and become a goddess. Arub wanted to know why Sharay hadn't died after being stabbed in her heart. He knew there was more to the just being a queen touched by the gods and he also knew who would know the answers to what really happened to the young queen. "When I stabbed her with my blade why didn't she die? We are both mythical beings and she was supposed to die", she asked Arub. Arub didn't reply and she knew he was bothered by this as much as she was. "We have to know why she is like that Arub, so we have to torture that sorcerer friend of yours in the dungeon cells so she tells us.", Amandla added on. Arub's heart broke in pain, he had some differences with Ammara but deep down he would always love her. Amandla was annoyed by this silence from Arub she said, "If you are so incapable of keeping your feelings in check and doing the job then I will do it myself!" She was furious and he knew what it meant if Amandla were to torture Ammara. It meant she would do whatever it took to et the information from Ammara. " I wiil get her to talk my queen.", he replied her silently. She looked at him and smiled, "Good, if we are going to plan on ruling the three realms together then we have to leave any emotions behind us Arub.", she told him as she flew towards the gates of Agasah. Arub swallowed hard and flew behind her. He had kept her locked down the dungeon cells to torment her and to also see her beautiful face. He was forced to let her go and get more power. Harunah saw the two arrive from her window and she felt so much pain in her heart. She had raised Amandla but had failed to see the ambition that grew within her. She had always been headstrong but she just felt it was because she was raised as a queen who was given so many responsibilities at a young age. She left her chambers heading towards the doors to welcome Amandla. She waited in the hallway and her daughter ran with smiles and embraced her mother like always. Harunah embraced her child and showed her so much love. They both were deceiving each other and this was going to happen for the a long time. "I see you have been spending time with the black sorcerer.", she confronted her daughter. Amandla laughed and she went back and pulled Arub closer to her. "He has been a great friend mother and his name is Arub.", she replied her mother as she left the room. Arub stood there facing the empress and Harunah smiled at him. He was about to walk away when she grabbed his hand, "If you do anything to my daughters I will unleash a hell you will never want to see on you Arub.", she warned him. In the very moment she held Arub's hand a vision of the future was presented to Wanday.

The sisters and tafuh were gathering wood when Wanday screamed and fell to the ground. She cried out in pain and she began to utter ancient words. Sharay ran and held her sister in her arms as Tafuh looked on. She had gone in a deep slumber but she kept uttering those words. "Quickly help me with her Tafuh!", Sharay asked Tafuh. They both got hold of her and placed in a shade were she kept uttering those words and they could do nothing but look at her. Wanday found herself in Ammara's dungeon cell facing the great sorcerer and seer. "What is happening to me Ammara. I saw blood, a lot of blood.", she asked Ammara. "You have to learn to control your powers my queen. You are about to inherit more great powers from the gods.", Ammara replied the young queen. Wanday looked surprised and she kept looking at Ammara. Ammara held out both her hands to the queen and signaled her to place hers into her hands. "I will show you what I mean your highness.", she told the queen. Wanday placed her hands into Ammara's and she was shown the vision of when they were born and how they had cut Sharay's heart and asked the great river to hide it. She saw how their lives were linked to the great river and she also saw Ammara die. She pulled her hands away from Ammara with tears filling her eyes. "No! You can not die now I still need you!", she begged the great seer. Ammara smiled and held her hands in hers. "Its your time now and I should go and join the gods. When your time comes you too shall join them but it's a thousand years from now.", she tried assuring the queen. Wanday shook her head and cried, "Why do you have to die? I just found you Ammara? What of my mother?" ammara saw how hurt the young queen hurting, she held her in her arms and cried too. "I have to do this so I protect Sharay's heart, they are going to torture me and if they do I will end up giving in to their demands. No one has to know where the heart is even you.", she told Wanday. Wanday held Ammara tighter and wept. Her time was coming to an end and Ammara took the blade Wanday had in her pocket and stabbed herself on the neck, falling to the floor. "No! please don't die! I still have a lot to ask you!", Wanday screamed as she got hold of Ammara's body. A lot of blood dripped from her neck and Wanday held her in her arms crying. Her vision pulled her out and when she woke up she was covered in blood. Sharay and Tafuh looked at her in shock and she wept and tried to get up but fell to the ground. "I have to go back and save her! She can not die just yet!", she cried as her sister held her. she wept out so loud and as she wept the birds covered the skies, the moon covered the sun and the rains poured. It had been a clear day and this shocked Sharay and Tafuh. The ground began to shake as Wanday wept louder."Wanday please stop this! You need to calm down!", her sister called out. Wanday fell in a deep slumber again in her sister's arms and the ground stopped shaking. Tafuh and Sharay sat with her in the rain confused about everything that had just happened.

The ground shook as far as Agasah and the south lands. Harunah held on to her bed as she saw the rain pouring, the birds flying and the darkness that filled the skies. She stood there in awe, she knew this meant two things and she feared for the worst. Only when great seers were born would such things happen and only when they died would it also happen. She held her hand fearing the worst and as she was about to walk away she saw a beautiful young woman with clothes covered in blood standing in a great light. "Mother I come with sad news to you. Today a seer was born but also a seer has left this world.", Wanday told her mother. Harunah trembled and she fell to the ground. She had seen one of her daughters and she had just received news that one seer had died. She didn't know whether to celebrate seeing her child or to cry. Wanday smiled at her mother and disappeared. Harunah stood up and ran towards the dungeon cells. She ran towards Ammara's cell and she bumped into Arub also on his way there. "What have you done Arub!", the empress asked her. He looked at her and pushed her aside as he ran towards her cell. He got there and found her lying on the ground. She had stabbed herself in the neck and she lay in her blood. Harunah pushed him aside and ran to hold her friend in her arms. She cried out so loud in pain it was heard in every corner of the tower. Harunah wept so loudly holding her friend as her heart broke. Arub fell to the ground and his eyes were filled with tears. Harunah looked at him with so much hate and she spat at him. "You don't deserve to shed even one tear for her. You did this Arub! She must have known you were going to do something and she killed herself to protect us all!", Harunah wept. Arub didn't say a word, his heart was in pain and he couldn't control the pain. The great seer had died and she had left her gifts with the young queen. Amandla heard about the news of Ammara's death and this infuriated her. She screamed and threw things at her guards. "That sly witch, she knew I was coming and now she is dead! How will I know why that white head wouldn't die? Find me Arub!", she screamed. The guards left her chambers to look for Arub. Harunah took her white cloak and covered her friend. Diablo went down to the dungeons to comfort her. For the first time she allowed him to get closer to her, she wept and held on to his arms. She was vulnerable and she allowed herself to feel for the first time in twenty years. News of Ammara's death spread among the valoyees and the people of Agasah. to the valoyees it was a day of celebration but to the people of Agasah it was a day of a great loss. Diablo ordered they be left to mourn Ammara and she would be given a proper burial. He allowed Harunah to go and be with her people. They hadn't seen their empress in years and as she walked to be with her they bowed and cried. This angered Amandla and she wanted to stop the proceedings but was stopped by Diablo. "Arub I have been looking for you all this time! That witch knew we were coming and she killed herself!", she shouted. Arub didn't reply her but just looked at her. She walked up to him irritated by his silence. "I told you to leave any unnecessary feelings you might have behind! This is the very reason why I need to destroy Diablo as early as possible. Don't make me want to eliminate you to dear friend.", she threatened Arub. He rose his head and looked at her,"You want to kill Diablo? That is madness, the valoyees will kill you!", he warned her. She laughs, held his chin up and replied him, "I am not going to be the one to kill him, that white head will kill him." She left his chambers and in that moment he saw Wanday in the same glowing light. "Arub I t has begun now! I told you she was more ambitious than you knew but you underestimated her and now Ammara is lost to us.", she told him and the light disappeared. He wept in pain over the death of Ammara. She was the last thing he had and the gods had allowed her to die. He would let them pay for all of this and he would destroy everything they loved. Back in the forest Tafuh and Sharay had lit a fire waiting for Wanday to wake up. It was nearly dusk when she opened her eyes, Sharay ran to her sister and hugged her. "You gave me a fright Wanday! What was happening to you?", she asked her sister. Wanday told them about Ammara and this tore Tafuh's heart. Sharay didn't know the pain everyone felt because she only heard stories about Ammara but she sympathized with her sister and Tafuh. "We need to start building that army now before that witch and her weird friend kill everyone else!", Sharay told her sister. Wanday stood up and walked to her sister and said, "Then we have to ordain the warrior queen with spirits of the gods." Sharay smiled and that night she knelt infront of her sister who called out t the gods and to anoint her with the great powers of the queen. The heavens were opened and the spirits descended on Sharay. The great light was seen as far as Agasah and that night a coronation by the great seer and gods for Sharay happened. Arub walked to the Diablo's chambers with Amandal. "You have to strike now Diablo! The gods have given the other sister a great gift from Ammara and the other has been ordained by the great spirits as warrior queen of Agasah.", he told Diablo. Diablo's hands shook in anger and he turned to Arub and asked, "What do I have to do great friend?" Arub and Amandla smiled, they had gotten a chance to ruin Diablo for good and he had no idea he was being fooled.
