I had to look at my situation and Hera's, the Gulons, and Charles's coven. Hera stood before me, awaiting a response to decide my fate with the coven and the Gulons, which would bring lasting peace or endless war. Eternal death was looming, and I realised that I was a significant figure and participant, whether I liked it or not. Something had to give; if Hervidor lived, the threat for us all would remain.
"Hera, I can't be around humans. My only option was to take flight. Tonight, a caller came, and I had the incredible urge to hunt him down. My thirst was bearing heavily on me, and I had to hold my nose as the smell started to make me think about drinking it. I think the other night when I sipped the human drink, it did something to my vampire senses," I said.
"We can arrange something. Don't you want to live with Charles at the house with the rest of the coven?" Hera asked.
