In the game center, there was a young boy who was crying, cradling a girl in his arms. The boy's gaze was fixed on a girl who happened to be his childhood friend.
That day, Ron was on vacation with his parents and he had asked his childhood friend to accompany him, seeking permission from her parents.
"No, what will I say to your parents if something happens to you?" she had initially responded.
Her parents easily granted her permission since they trusted Ron and his family. Ron couldn't help but feel a sense of fear and sadness, imagining the devastating consequences that would befall him if anything were to happen to his friend while under his care. It was a fear akin to being caught by a villain and facing her parents' wrath upon discovering their daughter's tragic fate.
Inside the room, broken game consoles, small rides, and three-dimensional games were scattered about, offering a new and immersive experience. Among the chaos, numerous lifeless bodies lay strewn across the area. Ron searched desperately for his parents but couldn't find them amidst the blood and dismembered limbs that littered the place.
Suddenly, he heard the distinct sound of footsteps approaching.
"Thak, thak, thak, thak."
"Who's coming?!" Ron thought anxiously.
He turned toward the source of the sound and saw a towering man with dark skin, standing at a height of approximately 7.8 feet, wielding a massive axe. The man stared at Ron and, upon witnessing the boy's fear, burst into laughter.
"Huh, there's a kid left here? Did your parents abandon you? Ha ha ha..."
The man mocked Ron, reveling in his misery, while Ron remained silent, paralyzed by fear.
"Today is my lucky day, so I'll spare you," the man declared, before turning away and leaving. Overwhelmed by fear, Ron collapsed and lost consciousness.
His fear wasn't just from the encounter with the man, but also from the haunting thoughts of his friend's parents and his own parents. However, before succumbing to unconsciousness, he made a solemn promise to himself.
"I will vanquish every villain in this world, no matter what."
Later on, Ron was rescued by a group of heroes, and his parents were found safe. They had been preoccupied with something important and were outside for that reason. Due to his apprehension, Ron avoided meeting his childhood friend's parents, and they, too, refrained from reaching out to Ron's parents. The Hero Association had been alerted about their daughter's disappearance, and the police were still searching for them.
Ron dedicated himself to years of rigorous training, fueled by a desire for revenge. His parents, who ran an esteemed A-class guild, supported him by providing expensive potions, art, and equipment. Their wealth surpassed that of ordinary families in the area.
During his training, Ron encountered a formidable martial arts master who became his mentor, guiding him on his path to becoming stronger.
After years of relentless training, Ron's teacher advised him to enroll in an academy. He successfully passed the entrance exam but arrived late on his first day of class.
To his surprise, another student arrived late as well. Initially, Ron perceived this boy as ordinary and weak, but something about him seemed peculiar.
"Arjun, cadet rank 9978," the boy's name and rank were announced.
Ron felt disappointed upon hearing his low rank. However, he couldn't ignore the fact that Arjun occasionally glanced in his direction, making him feel uneasy.
The professor led the students to the training arena, and Ron's first match was against another student named Will. However, Ron found himself getting distracted by Arjun's intense gaze, unaware that Arjun himself was oblivious to Ron's discomfort and assumed everyone was watching like him.
Will said something to Ron, which further aggravated his already foul mood.
"You, you will fight me later."
Annoyed by Will's words, Ron responded curtly, "I'm fine with fighting you right now."
This exchange only fueled Will's anger, but seeing Will's enraged expression pleased Ron.
Soon after, their senior instructor redirected Ron's attention away from Will and offered some advice.
"Your fighting style is impressive, but be cautious as you sometimes get distracted during fights."
Ron wanted to argue, knowing that his distraction stemmed from Arjun's constant glare, even when he hadn't done anything wrong. Nevertheless, he chose to remain silent, realizing it wouldn't serve any purpose.
"But it wasn't my fault. He always glares at me for no reason," Ron thought, keeping his thoughts to himself, only to discover that Arjun was no longer seated nearby.
"Where did he go?" Ron wondered, searching for Arjun and eventually spotting him on the stage, engaged in a confrontation with someone else.
"Now I'll see just how strong he really is," Ron contemplated, ready to observe Arjun's match. However, he was interrupted by a voice from the side.
"What are you doing, Ron?"
He turned to find a cute girl with pink hair and pink eyes standing there. Ron replied casually, "Oh, nothing. I was thinking of watching a match and learning something."
The girl looked puzzled because she knew Ron was already strong, and there was hardly anyone from whom he could learn from. "I don't think you'll find much to learn," she commented.
Ron responded seriously, "You never know. After all, the world is vast."
The girl, named Cusu, was confused but decided to join Ron and watch the matches since she knew he wouldn't take an interest in someone easily. They both fell silent as they observed the area Ron had been focusing on before, and they noticed a boy with a serious expression who appeared physically weaker than average.
"What was his name? I can't remember," Cusu wondered aloud.
"His name is Arjun," Ron replied.
"Arjun, that's a unique name," Cusu remarked, and they patiently waited for the match to begin, eager to see how things would unfold.
