Chapter 93 - Chapter 86: Peace Negotiation

As time swiftly flowed, the tension in both the Slane Theocracy and the Greed Empire intensified. Diplomatic envoys were dispatched, intelligence networks expanded, and strategic alliances were forged in preparation for the inevitable confrontation with the Ancient One.

In the Slane Theocracy, the Great Gods convened numerous meetings, meticulously planning their defence and marshalling their forces. Each passing day brought new developments, as scouts reported sightings of strange creatures and mysterious activities in the vicinity of the Ancient One's presumed location.

Meanwhile, in the Greed Empire, the Greed Kings meticulously evaluated their resources, honed their combat skills, and reinforced their defences. Battle formations were drilled, contingency plans were drafted, and every possible scenario was meticulously analyzed in preparation for the looming conflict.

Throughout both empires, the name of the Ancient One loomed like a dark shadow, casting a sense of despair over the land. But amidst the apprehension and uncertainty, there was also a glimmer of determination and hope—a steadfast resolve to confront this formidable adversary and emerge victorious, no matter the cost.

As the days turned into weeks, the stage was set for a clash of titanic proportions—a battle that would determine the fate of kingdoms and reshape the very fabric of the virtual world. And as the hour of reckoning drew near, both the Slane Theocracy and the Greed Empire braced themselves for the ultimate showdown with the Ancient One—The Destroyer of Worlds.

As the Army of the Greed King and the Great Gods arrived at the desolate wasteland, their ranks swelled with warriors from all corners of their respective empires. The air crackled with tension as the vast expanse of the battlefield stretched out before them, a barren landscape devoid of life yet pregnant with the promise of impending conflict.

Even then, the wasteland couldn't contain the army of 70 million foot soldiers, much less 2 billion, which are stationed elsewhere.

One might ask, how can an army this big can be sustained? To support an army of 70 million foot soldiers, not to mention the additional forces stationed elsewhere, requires meticulous planning and coordination.

First and foremost, the armies would require a steady and abundant supply of food and water. This would likely involve extensive logistical networks for transporting provisions to the troops, as well as efficient agricultural practices to ensure a constant food supply.

How can this be done? The answer to that is quite simple, it's because of the world-class item {Dominion Scepter}, an item with the power to control an army of people under level 90.

With the help of that, organizing an army of this size is as easy as cutting a pie.

[First Person POV]

I observed the giant army of Greed Kings and Great Gods, they were moving in a steady manner because of how big their troops were, for me, it looked like the continent itself was moving against me.

The world against me, that has quite a ring to it.

Twelve years ago, when I first entered YGGDRASIL, I didn't know that I would have to fight against such a massive number.

Standing on the battlefield, I find myself surprisingly calm, even somewhat looking forward to the bloodbath that is about to unfold.

Maybe it's because of my Incubus form, or maybe it's just who I am now, but that doesn't justify the actions I am about to take.

While lost in thought, I observed four figures moving towards the centre without any protection.

As I watched the four figures moving towards the centre of the battlefield, a sense of curiosity piqued within me.

What are they doing, Friday? I asked.

[They are here for negotiations, Sir.] Friday responded calmly, her digital voice conveying a sense of assurance.

Should I bother to hear them?

[That choice is yours to make, not mine.] Friday responded. To be honest, I know whatever they are going to say doesn't change my decision. Even then, I like to hear what they have to say. After all, I should at least give them some respect.

With that in mind, I turned to Albedo and Antares, who were at my side, protecting me.

Unlike the Great Gods and Greed Kings, I didn't bring any army. Yet. So it's just three of us on the battlefield along with the enemy.

"Albedo, Antares, follow me," I said as I unfurled my wings, the black feathers shimmering with a dark, ethereal glow. Albedo and Antares fell into step behind me, their expressions reflecting a steadfast resolve.

As we took to the skies, the vast expanse of the battlefield stretched out below us, the tumultuous energy of impending conflict palpable in the air.

"Where are we going, My Lord," Albedo asked, Antares just kept a small smile.

"We're going to meet our destiny," I replied cryptically, maintaining the 'one-who-controls-all' persona.

As we approached the centre of the battlefield, Leo, Bors, Surshana, and Kikotenshin Nekonyan stood before us, their expressions a mix of caution and curiosity. Leo, with his regal bearing, exuded an aura of confidence, while Bors's massive frame conveyed strength and resilience. Surshana's dark robes billowed around him, giving him an air of mystery, while Kikotenshin Nekonyan's sharp gaze hinted at his strategic acumen.

"It seems like you recovered from the previous battle."

"It wasn't much, but thank you for asking, Bors," I said with a smile. "And it seems like you also brought your little band with you," I added, gesturing towards the vast army assembled behind him, their numbers stretching as far as the eye could see.

Leo chuckled a deep rumble that reverberated across the battlefield. "Aye, we've come prepared for whatever may come our way."

"I have to say, you two—Greed Kings and Great Gods—joining hands is something even I didn't consider," I said, my acting was so brilliant, I could hear Albedo murmuring, "Impossible."

As she must thought, this was not going according to my plan.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures." Kikotenshin Nekonyan said.

"Nekonyan, my friend, it seems like you recovered without losing any levels. I have to say, I was also expecting Milford," I remarked, keeping my tone conversational.
