Thousands of warriors ran towards the city, holding their weapons and activating their skills. Long-range fireballs and meteor strikes have already killed several demons before the battle begins.
As they entered the battleground, the sounds of swords clashing and the screams of demons reverberated through the air.
Despite the fact that demons had more powerful bodies and healing abilities than average humanss, the warriors in "Resistance" weren't normal humans either. They were the ones who suffered the loss of loved ones, homes, and families due to demons. For years, they tortured their bodies with the hammer of pain and melted themselves in the fire of rage to transform themselves into the best weapons possible to fight demons.
Even though there were ten times as many demons as "Resistance" members, the outcome of this war was obvious: it was a one-sided massacre.. Depending on the spell used, the atmosphere's temperature changed from hot to cold as the ground began to turn a dark shade of bloody black. The main group and elite members began to move in the direction of the castle as all of the pawns were mercilessly dispatched.
"Attention everyone!" We will be facing high-tier demons inside; do not mistakenly underestimate them."With his silver longsword swung in the air, making patterns and leaving trails of green light and blood behind, Julius spoke into his communicator as he ran at a breakneck pace, slaying any demons that stood in his way. One could still describe this scene as being "just... beautiful" despite the blood and battle.
"All we need to do is reduce their resources and manpower, and most importantly, rescue the survivors." Julius continued while cutting down the enemies like butter with a hot knife.
Ninety-six, on the other hand, was jumping from roof to roof, keeping her eyes on friends and foes alike. From the top of the structure, she could see blue crystal walls that prevented demons from fleeing or communicating with the outside world. All those killed demons' souls were being devoured by the silver artefact in the middle of the sky.
She was about to reply to her message in communication when she heard a voice from behind.
"I assume you are one of the strongholds of this group called resistance." A hooded figure appeared from under the shadow of a square shaped roof and gave a little bow. "Allow me to introduce myself..."
Before the hooded figure could complete his sentence, ninety-six appeared from behind his back and...
"tung-tung-tung-tung-tung" A five-voice sound of metal hitting something resounded in the air as two thin knives were stabbed inside the hooded figure's eyes, followed by three in the chest.
"Ahem...ahem, so as I was saying..." With those sounds, Ninety-six, who was walking away just now, froze in her place as a cold sensation ran down her spine.
"My name is 'Crow'," and I am the second strongest entity in this place. And coincidentally, I am sent here to take care of you." Crow then removed his hood and began pulling knives from his ribs, which had no organs inside, and an eye socket that had no eyes.
[A/N: the undead are walking and talking skeletons ]
"An undead," Ninety-five muttered in a soft voice as she sent a signal from her communicator.
"Now stand still like a good girl and let me slice you up," Crow said as a red pulse ran through his bones and his fingers extended into sharp red claws reaching his knees. Red energy began to pulse through him like a heartbeat, forming crimson red spikes on his shoulders and legs. Immediately after that,
"bang...bang ...bang."
Multiple strikes were exchanged between Crow and Ninety-Five within a matter of seconds as they jumped from roof to roof, destroying the previous ones in the process.
"Hahaha. You are very good for a human to stop my attacks so far, but... that's not the only thing I can do." Crow said in a teasing voice.
While Ninety-five was trying to attack the undead, a fast strike appeared from down to up, and she instantly activated the water barrier to protect herself. Although she didn't get hit, she was already thrown 13 metres above the ground when suddenly a voice appeared on her back and attacked her with red claws.
"On your back!!!"
The attack was directed at her head, but Ninety-five used her quick thinking and changed her trajectory by launching a water blast with her hand. She was able to dodge any harmful strike, but the mask on her face was cut off in two, and a small cut appeared on her cheek.
She altered her course once more using the water blast, then attacked Crow with a water jet blade. But before Crow was even hit by the attack, he abruptly vanished and reappeared behind her back.
"Surprise!!" Crow said as he used his full force to attack Ninety-six's back.
'Bang!" a metal-hitting sound was heard as Ninety-six was hurled to the ground, shattering two structures and creating a Carter with a human side. Her back spat blood, and she gritted her teeth in agony while her mask fell off.
"He is proficient in Blink ability ".She thought internally as she stood up on the ground, gripping her daggers tightly, and drops of blood could be seen from the corner of her lips.
"Oh!! I didn't expect to see a mermaid in a place like this; it's a shame I will have to kill you, though." Crow," he said, looking at the blood on his red claws. Blinking directly in front of her.
[A/N: Blink is like short-distance teleportation and can be used by dark mages or space mages.]
Judging by the seriousness of the situation, ninety-six decided to go all out.
Suddenly her eyes started to glow blue, her blue hairs started to float in the air, and her fins (ears) started to radiate blue light as all the cuts and brushes healed on her and her skin became as soft as ever.

Imperial Hydro Cluster
She activated the three skills and closed her eyes as she disappeared from her position and directly appeared behind Crow, making a horizontal slash.
Crow blinked in the meantime, avoiding the attack by a narrow margin. The slash continued in the form of a blue aura cutting through the building behind it as if it were a piece of paper.
Crow appeared again behind her back, making an upper slash, which was successfully dodged.
"Now this is called a fight; dance more before your death, mermaid," Crow shouted madly as he teleported fast, making slashes and using a dark whip to attack Ninety-six.
Crow's terrifying speed and dangerous attack, on the other hand, completely overpowered Ninety-Six. It wasn't a problem, though, because she could sense auras with the help of her half of her magic, allowing her to predict Crow's teleportation and prepare an aura attack. She also had a water blast and jet that she could use to deflect any attack.
The only thing audible and visible were countless strikes overlapping, and a blue aura was slicing through the sky, the ground, and both of them vanished from their positions. Ninety-five sensed Crow's intended teleportation point and launched a magic grenade in his direction just in time for catch.
[A/N: Undead don't have eyes; they only see magic, so a magic grenade is the same for them as a flash grenade for humans.]
Due to the heavy release of magic, all of a sudden Crow's senses went blank for a second, and all he sensed was his back getting hit by a dagger as he was thrown, breaking three buildings and landing on the wall of the fourth one. Before he realised what had happened, he took another blow that severed his arm, which launched him into the air and caused him to crash into the area that had once been the park's centre. Crow had already regained consciousness at that point because he was standing up and his hand was beginning to reappear out of thin air.
"Hahaha hahaha... Hahahahhahahah." Crow laughed out loud like a madman as he stated, "Poor soul, you've got a very good opportunity to kill me, but the only thing you lack is light magic or fire magic. All this hard work is for nothing, and my hands are even good as new. Hhahhahah muahahaha..."
"You can't kill me, mermaid; your fate was sealed the moment I appeared as your opponent," Crow said, pointing his large finger towards her.
"You are right, and that's why I brought you here," she said, pointing at the golden magic circle he was standing on.
"This is...." Crow's voice froze as he tried to blink, teleport, or leave the circle, but nothing worked. He could only cry over his mistake and wait for two words.
"Holy purification,"
said Ruyi, as a golden ray left his finger, activating the circle. A golden flame rose from the circle as Crow's scream lasted a second before he disappeared.
Ruyi adjusted his rectangular glasses, which slipped to his nose again, and looked at Ninety-five as if he were about to say something.
But before the two of them could exchange any words...
A ringing sound with white light covered the city; the light was strong enough to make the night attack seem like a day, and the bright light started to descend downward As if the sun was falling on earth itself...
