"So, what's the plan to get to the Golden Flower Tower?" Mia asked me. We were sitting on the balcony of our room, watching the academy campus. It was 6:30 pm. Looking at the students who seemed to be living their lives normally, as if they weren't in a game, I replied, "I'll go alone."
She gave a slight laugh at my response, knowing it was irrational, but seeing my serious expression, she understood that I was serious. Mia then warned me, "You're going to lose, you know that, right?"
"Maybe not." Well, it is really irrational to go to Elisa. The first-year students have orders to capture me, so I'll probably run into some and have to face them until I reach the tower. The Golden Flower Tower is in an independent sector that everyone else has access to, So, I'll go to the tower, through another sector.
As if she could read my thoughts, Mia asked, "Are you going to the Golden Flower Tower through the second-year sector?" I nodded and replied, "That's the safest way, but I'll have to trick the guards who protect the other sectors."
"I can help you with that, but I saw on social media that some second-year classes are going to party tonight, so maybe you can pass more easily if you go where the party is happening. With a crowd of people, you shouldn't have any problems shaking someone off." Mia was right, the best place to escape from others is where there are more people. It's a bit ironic, but that's my plan.
I nodded to her and said, "Elisa ordered for you to be captured, and they'll eventually find you, so you have to go after Michael because he'll protect you." Upon hearing my words, a vein popped out of her forehead. She misinterpreted and said angrily, "Who do you think I am? I'm a Miyamoto! I don't need help to survive."
She really is annoying... Sighing, I asked her, "Can you handle 10 men alone?" She pondered for a moment, thinking about what answer to give me, but after a long time, I asked again, "Can you? Yes or no?"
"If they come one at a time, yes. But if they come all together, I won't be able to. But don't worry, I'll find a way to beat them all."
Is she serious? Her ability, as far as I know, is support-type... I don't even have the confidence to face 10 people at once, let alone her, a person with a support-type ability. By the way, what's her ability? Curious, I asked, "What's your ability?" She gave me a slight glance while raising one of her eyebrows and replied, "My ability is 'Realityilusion', why do you want to know?"
Realityilusion: This ability is capable of creating illusions that seem real and even manipulating reality to a limited degree. For example, she could change someone's appearance, make them invisible, or even create objects out of nothing. A skill with various utilities, really something interesting to desire. Now the question is... How was she captured by Elisa, even though she has such a powerful ability? This is almost a hack! Sighing, I curiously asked, "What's the weakness of your ability?" I spoke in such an interested tone that Mia found it suspicious and said, "Why do you want to know about my weakness?"
"Don't be hostile, I'm not your enemy, right? And if you tell me, I'll tell you what my ability is, how about it?" Mia was still hesitant to speak, but since she was curious to know my ability, she said, "I have no weaknesses, but my ability requires a lot of mana and concentration. Manipulating reality and creating illusions requires a large amount of psychic power, and therefore, if I become exhausted or am interrupted while using the ability, the effect will be dissipated, and I will be vulnerable, so I need to use it wisely. Anyway, what's your ability?"
Now it all made sense, that's why she ended up being captured. A strong ability, but it requires a lot from its user. In the end, her ability is the same as mine. Even though it may seem incredible on the surface, those who possess these abilities know that it's not all that.
Grateful, I replied, "My ability is 'Elemental Mastery.' I don't think I need to explain what it's for, right?" I said softly, as if it wasn't something eye-catching. But for Elisa, who dreamed of possessing an attack-type ability, she looked at me differently.
Noticing her surprised and intense look, I said as I walked inside, "My ability is the same as yours. We are both limited by something, so it's not that amazing after all."
"But my ability is of the support type... Yours is of the attack type, so they are not the same, even though they have the same deficiency," she said, but I ignored her words. She had no idea how absurd an ability that can manipulate reality, even if it's just a little bit. Plus, her ability could be used not only to manipulate reality but also to manipulate her opponent. Honestly, if I could choose between my ability and hers, I would choose hers without a doubt! But I have no complaints, my ability has already saved me several times, so I am grateful to possess it.
Mia watched me walk away and looked out at the campus as she leaned both hands on the balcony bar. She extended her palm and created fire. There was nothing different that could distinguish that flame from another, but when Mia ran her fingers through the flame, she didn't get burned or feel anything. There was simply nothing there, but thanks to the illusion, it seemed like there was something. Mia didn't curse herself for being born with this ability; to be honest, she was happy to possess it. But because of her ability to manipulate and the amount of psychic power she needs to use to create illusions, her mood becomes sour, and she often wakes up irritated. At first, she hated these side effects, but she accepted them as if they were her new personality.
Suddenly, she used her ability and created a 21st-century firearm, but this time, she could feel the object, the weight, and touch it. Mia had just created something from scratch, just by using her thoughts. She checked the gun's magazine and saw that it had 7 bullets. Then she put the magazine back in and gripped the gun tightly.
With the sunlight illuminating her eyes, she used her ability and made the gun invisible. Then she put the gun away and said, "7 bullets..." Coming from a family of assassins, Mia had to learn how to kill people from a young age. But since her ability wasn't geared toward attacking, her father ordered her to always use a gun with 7 bullets. Even though it's almost impossible to kill someone in this world with just 7 bullets, her father asked her to do so.
After all, with only 7 bullets, she couldn't waste any of them and would have to hit only the vital points of her victim. This training made her a skilled and deadly assassin. But between her and Kato, there was no doubt that Kato was more skilled and deadly. After all, shadows are the perfect skill for an assassin and a hero.
Sighing in frustration, she went inside to prepare for the showdown. A battle against time was about to happen, and Mia wanted to be a part of it at all costs. She wanted to show everyone, especially her brother, that even with a support skill, she could still be as dangerous as him.
